700 post. yeah seem od a guy with that many post would screw anyone. i do understand contacting right away. but hell life gets in the way. its early maybe he is driving now to get your card.
not bad. considering they did not do any type of hype.. just put it out there like "im cool" they will buy... they will come.. laughs. is that 80,000 just in the us? or world wide downloads? chris.
Dan007, I'm here for the next 5 hours or so and would be able to get you a card (and/or the code off of one...) Feel free to let MidianGTX or anyone else vouch for me, send me a PM if you are interested and I'll let you know my PayPal address. If I'm thinking correctly, I can set iTunes to draw funds from PayPal, and should be able to generate a code for you ASAP. (If not, I will run to the store and buy a card there as soon as I see a credit in PayPal - I can only get $15, $25, $30 (three pack of $10s) and $50 there though...) Looks like I can do $10, $20, $30, $40, $50 through iTunes - just let me know.
hey everyone. ive been watching this thread and i still dont know if i wanna get this game. i have never ever played GTA ever before. can someone explain to me what you do?
Not trying to be an ass. But you can't expect someone to take the time to explain to you the basics of a particular game series when you're not willing to do some basic research. Wikipedia has actually become the best resource on gaming on the web. There's info on pretty much every game ever made.
I'll give it a shot In short: Open world... go anywhere you like in the city, get in trouble with gangs, cops, pedestrians, steal cars, shoot people, deal drugs etc... Plus missions, one main storyline and dozens upon dozens of side missions. They can range from simple tasks such as taking out a few rival gang members, or something much more complex like hijacking VIP vehicles, planting explosives, framing people and so on, all while fighting off enemies and engaging in hectic car chases with the law. The variety is really impressive and too much to sum up in one post. Also you've got fire engine missions = putting out fires, ambulance missions = picking up injured people and taking them to hospital and taxi missions = take a guess. Large variety of different vehicles to steal/drive/buy, new safe houses to buy, large amount of weapons to collect, huge and detailed city to play in: as seen here. ...and all of that that barely scratches the surface of an average GTA game.
Finally got to the tattoo shop and i'm not liking the changes they made from the excellent ds version =/ I know it would be impossible to bring the ds version without some kind of pinch and zoom to compensate for the lack of stylus but the "follow the arrow" mechanic seems lazy to me.
this was my first GTA game ever and it was pretty damn sweet. the missions are fun and don't get boring, the story takes several hours to finish, drug dealing have also wasted many hours of life! there are also rampages that you can find around the [enormous] city where you have unlimited ammo for a certain weapon and you have to kill as much as you can in the time limit and that's just a bit of it! heres a more in depth review http://uk.gamespot.com/ds/action/grandtheftautochinatownwars/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary&tag=summary;read-review and heres a video review http://uk.gamespot.com/ds/action/grandtheftautochinatownwars/video/6206286/grand-theft-auto-chinatown-wars-video-review hope that helped!
thanks very much midian! you cleared that up for me quite well. so is it worth the 9.99? oh and that map is huge!!!!!
