I guess that we have to give a big "Thank you!" to the Rockstars! Rockstar only made this title for the iPhone just to see if it can be made. They were curious and that was our luck. By releasing a great title like this and getting fantastic sales and responses worldwide, other big developing companies will start to release good titles for the iDevices, too. RPGs, Adventures... mostly everything is possible right now. PSP and DS devs may convert their most successful games now for the iDevices. Developers, which have been shunning the iDevices before. Don't get me wrong - I like each of my indie games very much, but we are in need of big games from well-known game companies. Rockstar paved this way immensely. Thanks, guys! And - thats an argument even Aurora can't deny.
I would write a full in-depth article of my experience playing in free-roam mode. That is how much I love this game. Thanks Rockstar.
Hehe that's totally right, but just to admit nothing comes close to GTA4, the real voice acting commentaries are just too good. Also the little details are the salt in the supper, so in GTA4 I noticed at least 5 different ways citizens responded after I hijacked their car, sometimes I punched them on the ground, they hanging their hand on the car door, start driving, door don't closes, citizen hanging and flattering, underbodyhalf smeering on the street and making a giant red lane Or once I flew with a heli unter a bridge in GTA4, and there where some homeless people making a fire in an old trash can sitting together in a round and some rubbing their fingers against the cold. But you are right, there are quite a bit types of simulation in Chinatown Wars, still enjoyable!
i just wish gta would of been released at the start of the month. would of been the only app i bought and saved me so much money this month.. o well. its here now. and ill be busy with this for a while.. so 10.00 saved me like 50.00 for the rest of the month. i wont admit how much money i have spent this month on apps. chris.
This is a fantastic game and a very important one for iPhone-/iPodTouch-gaming! I hope that this release will animate more "ports" of great DS/PSP games!
What do you guys mean when you say Free Roam Mode. Is it just that you are driving around in the game (story mode) or is there a special game mode? As far as I can see, there is only a story mode in this game.
+1. We already got GTA CW, Assasin's Creed 1 & 2, Robocalypse , Cooking mama and the kart game ( I forgot the name ). I am hoping for any Square Enix Rpg to make it's way here.
*Sigh* Driving experience in Driver or GTA3/4/Vice City/San Andreas feels much more different to Chinatown Wars. People try to express that with "next 3D please", so the actual words are not what the person actually WANT TO say or meaning.
