oh yeah, you bring up a very good point. since this is an iphone/ipt they should've made it so you can exit and resume right where you left off because that's how us ipod gamers do it usually, in spans of 5-10 min. otherwise great game to play on bus, train, car ride, bed,
I don't know if it counts, but when I died during a mission, there was an info button that said tap here to jump to the part where I was at, i'm not sure if it does the same thing if the game closes.
Game Impressions As someone who put in countless hours on the DS game, I'm impressed. The visuals are a huge bump upward and the entire freaking game is right here... for $10! The only thing that's tricky is driving, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I switched to analog driving, but oddly, the default is a bit more accurate for me. All in all, I'm just gob-smacked at this release.
RayLancer, as someone who's approaching this game with fresh eyes (don't have a DS, and decided to pass on the PSP version when this one was announced), I see plenty of visual flair in the iPhone version. Perhaps you've become a bit jaded after playing two other versions of the same game...
Wow...who would've thought Rockstar releasing Chinatown Wars on the Iphone ....hope alot of people buy this gem and hopefully they release Vice City and Liberty City stories on the Iphone. I'm dying to play both on the Iphone.

question. I started the story mode and am about 5 minutes into it (trying to loose stars for the first time). Can I just forget about the story and play the game free roam from this point on? If not, at what point in the story can I just go off and free roam the rest of the game?
You can free roam anytime you want and do drug trades/whatever your heart desires (but please, don't kill the hookers).
Negamaki I did it! I found the statues in the DS one and beat both the missions Use that video Hmar posted, I found both statues pretty fast.
