This game is wow. But I have soem complaints. Well, not complaints, but kind of disappointments. The music. I mean, yeah, it's not the console version, but the music is one of the best parts of a GTA game, and this one has some generic instrumentals on the radio stations. Of course, this is easily solved by using your own music, so I guess that makes my thoughts kind of non-relevant. Plus, it would have increased the size of the game too large (it's already large). I was surprised how well the overhead view works, but things are kind of small. Can't be helped given the size of the device, but people especially are kind of hard to see. Just takes some practice I think, though. And the artwork is kind of eh. I like the GTA cell-shaded look, but it seems like they skimped a little on this one. The menus and stuff aren't very intuitive, it took me a little while to figure out some of the stuff like changing radio stations and looking at the larger map. It's not difficult or anything, just kind of slow. That said, I only played like an hour just to see what it can do, played a couple missions (failed one because I am stupid), and any complaints anyone could have about it (save for some massive bug) are moot when compared to how cool this game is. Huge map, good controls, and really, really good graphics.
Some dude said it earlier on, you've gotta be near a taxi and hold the top of the screen, not just tap it.
I just want to tell you guys something... This is NOT a game i'd buy. I might play it at some point - but not with my kids around you know? But i've never been anywhere where there are just adults playing games. BUT, I honestly LOVE reading threads on BIG games. Will it live up to the hopes and dreams? Fail? Who is buying first? I started reading this when i woke up at like 4:30am..... I'm happy for you guys that you got a SURPRISE with this one - and thanks for the entertainment. AND, thanks for supporting the BIG GAME so that others will see that the platform is a place where people will spend money on games. ANYWAY... back to your discussion!

Yeah. You have to be standing still and hold the top of the screen when you see a taxi with their little yellow light on. Do you know if you can use the handbrake in this? It helped my driving a lot.
Yep. Get near a taxi. Hit the top of the phone in the middle of the screen. You will whistle. You can only get a ride in taxis that have a yellow light on.
In all my time playing gta on my ds, i have never hailed a taxi. ever. i mean it. IT'S GTA FOR GOD'S SAKE! GRAND THEFT AUTO! JACK THOSE CARS GUYS!!! sheesh...
Yeah when your holding the accelerator button you slide your finger onto the break and that is the handbreak.
+1 I LOVE how iPhone's GTA is made, it's almost the same feel as original GTA which was plainly awesome

the purple swirling things are locations for the lions of fo. They will appear at two of the locations after you beat the game.
