Wow... It wouldn't shock me if R* knew about this forum. Lot's of developers and publishers browse forums to see what people are saying about their games. I've been following this thread for a bit now. While I understand the love for indie titles, and there are many many great ones out there, fighting against GTA is ultimately a losing battle. GTA has a huge following. It's massive. If they release something, people are going to snatch it up regardless of the quality. Luckily for R* their games are generally top-notch. While I am a not a giant GTA fan, I do enjoy the series. I've played them all, and recently bought GTA:CW for my iPhone. Is it the greatest game ever? Not in my opinion. There are some things I wish were better sure. We are all picky in some ways. But you really can't argue with a game that features hours upon hours of what most people find interesting game play. Aside from perhaps a few control issues here and there (nothing to major in my opinion. Doesn't detract from my experience) this is a great port. I found it very well educated. As for a murder simulator? Hell, most popular games that have came out in the past 10-15 years could be considered as such. FPS' rely on you to kill enemies, lots of times in human form, with weapons. The Call of Duty franchise is a good example. But people love it too. Do you have an opinion on the COD franchise too? I personally think most of your arguments are unfounded. Aside from the fact that you don't agree with the content and actions depicted within the game, your arguments are really going to fall on deaf ears. If you love the indie titles so much, continue to support them! We all do. I don't think GTA and R* are going to kill off iDevice gaming. They just happened to be a big name company that ported a quality game. If you don't like the game that's fine. No one is forcing you to play it. People wouldn't even really care if you didn't play it. But if you make a big deal about it then people are going to attack. That's human nature. Maybe it's all that GTA people are playing. This game should be put down by apple. In fact maybe we should email apple that we are offended by this game's content. Who's with me?
You might have a chance except by downloading the game you are agreeing that you are at least 17 years old. So technically Apple is following the same laws that all retailers and game stores follow.
But is that the only reason they got shot down? Perhaps Apple is being more laid back these days? But GTA is the first game I've ever bought off the Appstore that made sure I was at least 17.
We? by the looks of it your the only one in this thread that seems to hate this game. Why?? because the controls arnt that great. if you dont like this game hold the game icon, wait for it to start wiggling, tap the little X on the top left corner, rate it a 1 star and delete it simple as that. you dont have to keep hating this game and posting negative thoughts about it, its just annoying and by the looks of it it seems that most people will just keep on hating on you and all your doing is just making your name look bad in this thread. And this thread is dying down because most people are probably playing GTA or already posted and have nothing else to say. And if this game is so bad why does it have almost have 2500 replies, and the thread about your game has what 30 replies and most of them are negative. Im not hating on you but i find it kind of weird why you would do a shameless plug about your game on this thread when your posting alot of negative comments about it.
People are still offended by GTA? Some Italian kid stabbed his own father in the neck with a 15" knife the other day because of an argument over FIFA 09, and people are still choosing to boycott GTA over this?
People who complain about things that aren't forced upon them are what's wrong with this world. No-one made you buy this game. No-one made you play it. Take some damn responsibility for yourself and don't bitch about being offended by a mature title. That is sick but according to statistics the cases of Video game related deaths are increasing every year! Admittedly most are Chinese MMORPG players dying of starvation and dehydration but still people will always blame the medium! Videogames has became the new scapegoat of the conservatives.
I received the Ammunation Email but there is no link at the bottom to go to the site and become a member. Is this a bug or am I still to early in the game (10%)?
More stuff i learned after playing chinatown wars for a while(just passed the fat biker P.I. mission) -hijacking ammu-nation lorries are fun, but its not worth the firepower u get in return. For instance, u just get one puny SMG for the trouble. Using more ammo to take over the lorry. -Want to win a house from the scratch card? Expect around 60 to 80 tries, but eventually u dont lose but gain money since u will get 200 dollars quite a few times -no point buying a car, nor it is to keep a car in the garage even. It only takes running over 1 cop to take u on a road rampage that would cause u to ditch the car due to damage. In short, vehicles are meant to be disposable here. Dont cry when that shiny whatever u found at the eastern most part of the map is up in flames on a 3 star police chase. -GPS would slow u down sometimes by sugggesting a route that would involve a staircase pattern in high traffic roads. Look at the gps and identify straight lines so u get more direct routing without too much turns. -Dont hoard buy ammo, just buy a bit more than what u expect to use as safe margin. Wait for some promotions(half pricing) from ammu-nation to hoard and splurge -Molotovs>>>>>grenades -Dont waste money on health or armor. Identify where these spawn on the map and remember em. Save in safehouses for full health. -Full cock shotgun stopping power and damage is high. But not every shot hits. Add more guys, the discussions getting thin

This thread is already epic for a single player game, but as it is there is only so much we can talk about in a single player game as opposed to an online game like eliminate where a fraud between terrorist and expanding can produce a thousand post and the mystery behind ginababe another more
I'm really curious if rock* will make a version for the iPad. Seems kinda cool to have on a iPad. Still not really excited about the iPad though, but some games would be really nice on a bigger screen. The bezel is also kinda handy for holding the device without touching the screen.
one of the missions is hilarious: to throw boxes from truck to trailing pickup also the small pictures of missions you completed are funny too (those on board in any of your safehouses) all in all, I love GTA:CW so far
