Universal [OLD THREAD] Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

Actually it's divided into 2 missions! SO at the first you plant "something" and then in the second mission you get to the hooker. SO the hot dog guy will appear twice in the game.

The side-character woman which wants to be excited through car crashes and stunts (Cronenbergs "Crash" reminiscence anyone? ) is also divided into 2 missions. The ending punchline of the mission is much more fun than the hooker thing though

 

Did both those, for the first one I blew up the car and everyone waiting, for the second one I got busted in part 2.

Should I just buy this game no matter what? I like GTA games but I'm not in love with them like a lot of people.

 

Yes you should. I'm not a GTA fanboy either, but this is one of the best games for the platform currently available. Beats all other GTA like games, including Gangstar.

hey, sorry for being a potential newbie or whatever, but i cant figure out how to hail a cab, i repeditly tapped on one that had its lights on, but i couldnt get in without throwing the driver out. Also, is there a way to figure out where the gun store the game keeps talking about is? what about the auto shop? please help, thanks!

 

Block the cab then tap the upper middle screen until you whistle

 

They run me over when i try that...

 

Or go to the side of the cab and press the enter vehicle button.

 

Get a vehicle, block the cab, get out and press the middle button! If that didn't work just go on a rampage it's way more fun than calling a cab

 

Hey, I just completed the side mission with the guy who sells hotdogs. There weren't any hookers in the mission like you said...

 

did you see the long line? What is in the end of that line?

What car? What? I'm so lost. Are you talking about the hot dog guy near your default apartment or not? The one where... (SPOILER ALERT: highlight below to read)
The guy talks in metaphors about thinking that his wife is cheating on him, and you have to plant the bug on his wife's boyfriend's car? Or is this the wrong one?

 

The guy does provide you 2 missions, after planting the device and so on the mission gets finished, after some playtime the guy will appear again, maybe at some other place, and in the second mission the story goes on

 

Ah, I see. So the guy appears at a different location the second time?

Also, in the stats, it says 'Fish fed'. What does it mean by this? Thanks.

 

Hi I'm new here, but I figured I'd anwser your question. Are you talking Ammu-Nation? If so do this: Open PDA (Badger) scroll over 7 times to the right, you can't access it until about 5 or so missions into it.
