You do realize that this is a GTA thread right? So don't tell me to GTFO! You GTFO and continue to develop whatever it is you are developing! Geez!
Okay I don't like gameloft. Nor EA, for that matter. But there is no way in hell Car Jack is better than GTA. Dude, you're giving us indie supporters a bad name. Your ideals make sense, but you can't running around saying that a lot of indie games are better than some of the best big company games on the iphone/ipod. I want indies to succeed since many of them make apps I want to play on my IPOD. If I wanted to play a console-ish game then I'd go on my xbox. So, I like your ideals, but this certain argument is not very good.
Just some questions. So uh... What are those glowing blue orbs in some places? What do they do? What happens when you use a cheat.... Why do you get a message that you shouldn't save because you activated a cheat? Like to add that Can't believe there isn't a loading time to this game.
Like all other GTA games, this version is no different. It only advises you not to use cheats and save, but it in no way affects your gameplay.
that's just how the competition goes... and why do people think that indie devs' games are being neglected because of Big GAMES like this... ? at least show evidence of such assumptions... if indie devs make games to make profit in the appstore that's also the main purpose why Branded Devs make games for the same platform that's business people... I have nothing against indie devs in fact its great that they are one of the providers of stunning games in the appstore...
Take Soldiers of War, before GTA was released people are excited to get this game but now the game is buried and no one seems to play it. IMO its better than GTA and made with the iplatform in mind.
I've tried both GTA and CJS, and in no way is CJS better than GTA. There is absolutely no plot in the storyline - you owe some guy a million dollars and the missions that you complete are random missions given to you by random people. There are also not enough side missions - only about 5, while in GTA, there are loads of side missions. There is also a lot to do in GTA apart from the main storyline, while there is hardly anything to do CJS.
I like the art direction better and the controls are better. You are entitled to your own opinion but I still think that without the brand name all of you guys will say that CJS is better.
well sir.. then let's just play our preferred games (in our case you play CJS or Soldiers of War and i will play GTA: CTW)... let games from any developers come to the apps store and let the gamers decide what to support...
How is a 2D game with children-like colourful graphics better than a 3D game with realistic graphics? I can't believe you're saying that CJS, a poorly made imitation of GTA, is better than GTA itself.
The Iplatform handles 2d better than 3d. 3d will always be attempted but it will always look fugly, so a 3d game doesnt always mean a better game. CJS is not a poorly made imitation, it just so happened that it shares the same genre with GTA, Saintsrow and Driver.
First thought that popped into my head while reading your posts: Huh? I played CJS..And to put it nicely, its rather horrible. The controls are poorly done, its nearly impossible to drive, the overall layout of, well, everything is rather bad. I did not enjoy it at all. For you to compare GTA to CJS, and say that CJS is better is laughable.
He never said CJS is the original, he said its in the same genre of GTA and other games. [Which doesn't take away from the fact that CJS is horrible]
Ugh. Froze during the end credits ... now I have to redo that HUGELY TOO LONG MISSION once again. Nice job, Rockstar.
