So let's just say someone got impatient and may or may not have opened a New Zealand account to check out this game. Is it going to be possible to switch this over to a US account when it finally releases? It appears to be using GameCenter but I am not sure how you tell it is actually saving other than it automatically used my GameCenter name for my user ID.
All you'll have to do is "buy" (here download) the app from your real account. You can do this from your computer or from another iOS device. This will enable you to receive updates and buy iAPs IIRC.
Right, I left out a crucial detail. I'm wondering if my progress will be saved or if I will have to start over.
Well with the technique I explained, you won't have to delete your game. So the savegame will still be there
Gameplay - So, the gameplay is kind of shallow but not as much as some have claimed. Early on you can probably auto-fight your way through on the basic difficulty the entire first map. After that or for PvP it's not as safe an option even if you keep improving your team. The strategy is kind of basic but I like it as a quick battle RPG style game. You can't really just spam attacks because the best attacks and abilities have cooldowns. If you just hit the first wave with all your hardest attacks you may be in a world of hurt when the final wave and boss shows up. There are 3 levels to every fight with increasing possible rewards at each level. However, the more difficult the fight the more energy you spend. You get Green Lantern and Zatanna to start and they're both decent characters, plus one random standard character. It appears you can have 3 teams of 4 characters and it is desirable to build multiple teams because if you attack in PvP the team will stay behind to defend for 15 to 35 minutes. If you are attacked and lose you can "retake" a PvP area and only have to defend for the remaining time before you were attacked. I'm kind of mixed on how PvP works especially since I have yet to receive the rewards for defending that it claims you will. IAP Practices - There are 4 currencies PvE Energy - Used for single-player. Varies based on map and tower level but increases with your player level PvP Energy - Used for PvP fights. Always 1 per battle, you only get 5 and it doesn't increase with your player level Essence - Earned for winning battles, used for upgrading characters and "elements" Coins - Earned at an incredibly slow rate for winning battles and can be purchased with real $$$. Only way to buy new characters. Some characters can be "captured" in certain towers but it is inconsistent. I got Cheetah and Deadshot on the first try and have done the Black Canary tower about a dozen times with no dice. There are daily missions that you have 24 hours to clear. As you clear some missions new missions come in and they always have their timer set to whenever they appearred so you always have a real 24 hours to accomplish them (No daily reset time). Actually, I really like this feature it is one of the best daily bonus schemes I've seen. You cannot purchase specific characters outright (Boo!) It does address something that a lot of games really manage to piss me off with. Your basic coin package is 1000 for $5 A Legendary Character Pack (which does NOT guarantee a legendary, look at the wording) costs 1000 coins. There is none of this "Pay us $10 and not quite have enough to get anything with it" plus I consider $5 to be a sweet spot. So it's not a great IAP scheme but it's not terrible either. I've been playing for not quite a whole day and pretty consistently and not hitting any kind of paywall. I've got 6 characters and I'm able to level them pretty easily but promoting them (1 to 2 star, etc.) is a little trickier but you can't outright buy your way into a promotion either. Not super happy with WB right now but if they keep it as is and continue to add improvements and content I may stick around.
i am actually enjoying the game.. but no luck so far with the canarian as well. considering buying some gold. dunno if its possible cause my store credit is in us account. i also dont realize the diference between the heoes pack. the 1000 is 10x higher chnace then the 800? but both get from same ppol of heroes and both only give one hero?
I've had so many ID theft issues and have put so many security alerts on my bank cards that I'm afraid if I try to spend anything through the NZ store I'll probably have a SWAT Team show up at my house. Seriously, GoG (Good Ole Games) is in Cypress and everytime I buy something from them the bank calls to verify the transaction.
Oh by no means i meant to spend on the NZ acount. i tried to buy with the US one but it says i cant cause i need to get the app haha so i guess ill have to whait. Anyway i have 2 accounts. one i got hawkgirl, the other deathstroke. Dunno wich to develop. Yes i know Deathstroke is cooler but hawgirl has a disable attack. and since i cant get canary ( im over 3o tries already) im unsure wich one to focus on. i wish there were more information on this game.
Any DS is fine with me, but I was hoping they had him with his mask on. I got huntress, and even though she's awesome, I really wanted DS.
I've seen a few rank 2s, and the higher level heroes and villains have like weird markings on their cards. I saw someone with a flash on the pvp towers, and it was pretty cool.
It would appear the PvP is bugged. I keep getting the same low level team to fight. No challenge. Also, the times to defend are now up to an hour and ten minutes for me! Not sure the character towers are working either. If you don't get the character on the first try, it doesn't seem like you ever do.
This game is great, no need for IAP's. But it sucks trying to get canary. Over 80 tries and still no canary. I'm almost 4stars on my dead shot guy.
Still not out in the US. Convinced the towers are bugged. If you don't get a character on the first try it appears you never will. I pulled Lex Luthor, Cheetah, and Deadshot on the first try but not anyone else. Which sucks because Deathstroke shows up on Thanagar. I keep trying Black Canary, since she's the cheapest, just to see. Still no dice. It's kind of a nifty little game if they'd get the bugs worked out. I'm guessing this is why it hasn't seen wide release yet.
