I have to say I'm not a fan of the diminishing returns on xp and gold. It makes it very hard to find a way to improve after you hit a roadblock? What's the argument for the lower rewards?

I barely noticed the diminishing returns. If I needed XP I would just let me team auto run a level a few times to star up and get gold. With the increased gold and XP upgrades I could progress pretty quickly.

Some levels, notably boss levels, give a large chunk of gold and experience for completion. The diminishing returns is in play to prevent people from running boss levels and other levels like those over and over and over to get basically easy and infinite gold/experience. There are endless levels to run (one opens after the first gobbo boss) if you want gold/xp, as well as plenty of levels to replay or get stars on (assuming you aren't stuck on one of the first levels). And there's always training and pending end of day rewards!

Just wanted to note that Endless levels do not have diminishing returns, so you can always play those if you've collected all the available stars and completed all previous levels and still need some more XP.

Oh. I was under the impression that endless levels weren't giving me xp. Will have to look back at that...

EDIT: Not seeing XP gains from endless levels. Can someone check on this?

The healthy fighter perk +1 hp is for fighter only class or any class? Can someone advice?

I've managed to get to 122 treasures on the first endless level and saw absolutely 0 xp gain.

Also I'm having real trouble with the second boss, does anyone have any tips?

I too didn't recall gaining XP from endless, but maybe it's a bug or something.
Also I don't know how people are hitting roadblocks. I guess I invested my stars well. At the start I put them into the 'first time getting a star gets extra gold' since it would be most beneficial early on, and then put it into more % money. I have plenty of money, over 20000, and have enough people to nearly get every class.

So I followed a different route and am succeeding pretty strongly. I invested everything to get better fighters from the shop. Now I can just buy heroes up to the level of the red knight for gold

We will be taking a look at endless XP, there could be a bug with that or it could be too low to be visible split between 10 heroes.

For that one I just made sure I was playing my healer so everyone got the passive +1 health a second and would spot heal as needed. Also the boss has high EDF so bring physical fighters.

I do like this game still but sometimes I wish I could play more often or be able to play something else in game while stuck on a mission. Endless isn't rewarding enough and is all the same endless missions like the different levels you get would be nice.

Mostly I enjoy unlocking and upgrading character classes and getting good gear, I find myself being a little fickle wanting to replace some people because I don't like how they look. Also what's with the Saint? His arms look really weird

Just beat this. If you think stage 2 is hard you'll hate stage 3 :p
I just use a healer, and crossbowman with max speed (from a godly gun) and shoot the hell out of everything while staying in the middle.
The rest of people are just fillers. People with high health would be better so you have more leeway with healing.
Stage 3 will actually tear you apart. The only way I could manage it was to use two spearmen with the shields up skill being on permanently. You may have to invest in mana regen. Also a healer to heal from the melee guys. Everyone else needs a shield or they'll get rekt.

Yes I would like to be able to see class attributes on the next tier before they are unlocked, just seems a little unnecessary to not be able to see them

The timer could do with some work quite a few times I've finished an objective in the last few seconds and failed as the timer doesn't stop precisely enough.

Also when characters level up and get new abilities could the message stay there until you click on it? Otherwise it goes away before you get a chance to properly see who got new stuff.
