Is there a way for every character to heal themselves? Is it a rogue like with permadeath? Is there procedure generation? How do we replenish arrows and mana? If I knew more I'd buy it. Billy goggles Active Member Mar 28, 2013 31 0 6 #5 goggles, Dec 16, 2015 Here are my first impressions, after spending some time with this game. Prepare to die. The enemies are NEARLY impossible to avoid. Good luck with that whole surviving thing. Controls and framerate are very clunky. It requires precise targeting that an iPhone touchscreen does not allow. It's unwieldy. Very difficult controls. All considering, this thing should run fine on an iPhone 6+, but it doesn't. I don't know why I bother with iPhone games, sometimes. At least it was only a dollar. My final impressions: avoid at all costs! SimonMagus Well-Known Member Nov 22, 2015 71 0 0 #6 SimonMagus, Dec 16, 2015 Thank you, this $0.99 went to Card Crawl instead. And, I have not finished Legends of Grimrock yet.. It appears that the game was not only badly optimized, if it struggles to perform on something as high end as an iPhone 6+, but it was badly balanced as well, if even basic monsters are that hard to beat. Your sword doesn't flop around like a limp noodle and there is more weapon variety. It IS hard but pretty fun and it's only .99 HarryWarden Well-Known Member Aug 22, 2012 427 0 0 #9 HarryWarden, Dec 16, 2015 Thanks for taking the dive for the rest of us. I was late to the party and only picked it up when it went on sale recently (it would have been rude not to!). Started playing it last week and now I can't stop. Yes, the framerate seems clunky, but that's just because they gave us free 1st person camera instead of the typical 'turn in 4 different directions'. It is worth the dollar, I assure you. nkx Well-Known Member May 9, 2015 672 0 16 #13 nkx, Dec 17, 2015 LOG is awesome. I hope this does well too but it hard to compare the two. When will people start taking mobile games seriously? When I see releases like this over and over, I don't have many high hopes for mobile. This game could have been so cool! Repulsa Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2015 1,584 81 48 #17 Repulsa, Dec 17, 2015 I think to appreciate this game you have to have a deep love for early PC dungeon crawlers and the first Doom, and if the words retro or old school make you cringe then stay away lol this plays very much like one of those early PC games and it's a fun nostalgic experience for me. If you want the best graphics, sound, etc mobile has to offer then you might want to go with one of the dozens of slick flashy f2p action RPGs the App Store has to offer.
