Exactly, it's a bit like real-time strategy, so both players can act at the same time... there's no rounds or "player waiting to take turns". (Every once in a while a special Blackbird enters the scene which will give players a small break.) So it's strategy and thinking but also tends to grow in frenzy as the game progresses, because you can also pick up energy rings to cast your Ogs faster. Energy rings by default appear randomly and rather seldomly, but once you build green Ringmakers, they will produce them faster, so the game can pick up speed this way. Just make sure to not leave your Ringmakers unprotected, as they are rather weakish Ogs
