So far started off with a couple of stalemates from Group A. For most football fans the real action starts next week when the Europeans and South Americans get the ball rolling to see who gets the initiative, unlike France (ha ha). States vs England, back home I would have yawned on this game, but I live in the U.S. now, so I guess there's some vested interest. It's not going to be as lopsided as the rest of the world thinks as England hasn't had a lot of good form coming into the cup and the States will be banking on English overconfidence. Still, a loss for the Yanks. Been backing Germany, Brazil since a youth, and now backing South Africa/ Nigeria. They've been buried in that group for so long I want to see them start making a name for that part of the world.
I got to see South Africa - Mexico in class today. Pretty good game, that guy from South Africa sniped the ball in. Mexico played great though. I saw Uruguay - France at my friends out few hours ago, it was kinda boring for the most part.
I'll laugh so much if USA beats England tomorrow Then maybe all the pikeys over here would take down their massive England flags across their houses and stop singing shitty songs.
Both games have been disappointing so far. Let's hope Argentina vs Nigeria and USA vs England turn out more exciting.
OMG the franch game was so boring I felt asleep... at least the SA vs Mexico had some goals and good football at some points. lets hope it will get better in the next groups, I still think only mexico and SA will go trough group A.
