Yeah it kinda is. I already have the game on my Macbook. Unless there are more levels or other features that the Mac version doesn't have I have no reason to buy it. Unless it's only 99 cents then I probably will.

Well for one thing, they have given away Super Crate Box on PC for free to any player who wants it, people should want to give a little back to them.

Sometimes it isn't the "double dipping" or the paying for it twice or not even paying for a free title but playing it already or any of that that stops someone from purchasing a game - it COULD be that you played a game SO much on another platform you are just bored of it and won't play any more.

Guys, you all need to back off the people that say they don't want to buy the game. Whatever their reasons are they are THEIR reasons and they don't need to justify to the masses why they won't purchase a game.

Super Crate Box iOS is a faithful translation of the PC/OSX version. In other words, if its not in those versions, it's not in this one. However, that doesn't need to stay that way and you can help!

The game will launch January 5th for $0.99 (€0.79) for a limited time only - after that, the price'll go up. To clarify one specific thing: yes, the game definitely has iCade support! Of course it has, honestly, it's perfect for the iCade. However, as you can see in the video in the original post, we've worked hard to perfect the touch controls too - so if you don't have an iCade, you can still enjoy some real, fast-paced, challenging and merciless Super Crate Box on the go!

Anyway, this is the deal: There's a counter in the Super Crate Box iOS main menu, which keeps track of how many crates were collected on iOS devices globally. As soon as that counter hits 5,000,000 crates collected we'll work some long, long nights to make sure there'll be a nice update with some new, iOS-exclusive content or features! At that point, we'll also announce a new target and new updates!

Quite an interesting proposal. That would be cool - seeing how many crates gathered collectively, and watch the numbers grow. See how close to an update and all too.

What if that number never gets reached?

Sweet! That counter idea is pretty innovative. What happens if its stops at 4,999,999 crates. :(

Not entirely innovative. Moonsters (now Mooniacs) used that method with a tofu counter on their website for game updates but the trouble was it never sold that well and the counter just slowed and slowed and updates never came...

I DO think this method would work great for this game though since it is a cult classic and believe there will be a ton of people playing, watching the website, etc. Good luck and I can't wait to pick it up at the strike on 11:00pm this Wednesday ;)

Basically, we might or might not update if we don't reach that treshold - it really depends on the time we have. If we reach 5,000,000, we'll be able to work on some little things we want to add. :)

Thanks for the trust and support! :)

Haha, thanks! That'd definitely help us exist and make games, but we suppose that if you get four others to play Super Crate Box iOS as well, now that would help us and help getting that counter to 5,000,000 faster! :)

    Happy new year, everyone!

Hmm this seems like one of those games toucharcaders go crazy for cause it's indie and they loved it on PC. Never played it before but can't wait to get it and compare to a game I can't mention that got a lot of hate from fans of this one. I love that other one and from what I have seen it seems to expand on the premise more than just rip it off IMO. But like I said never played this one so maybe it will knock my socks off.
