?

Should we keep the option to skip to next level without solving everyword?

    Hello guys,

We are thrilled to launch a brand new approach to iPhone Word Games in face of STITCH'em WORDS. If you are a Word Game lover, you would fall in love right away !

Inspired by the popular TV Show, Concentration, STITCH'em WORDS is an extravaganza for all those looking for something beyond Scrabble and Anagrams.

The object of STITCH'em WORDS is to solve puzzles made of pictures and words. For example, combine the letter "T", with the picture representing "Rain", to make the word "Train." Or, combine the picture representing a "Star", with the letter "E", to make the word "Stare."

Find hidden words, to earn bonus points. Use Hints if you get stuck - or aim for bonus points by staying away from them. With hundreds of exciting levels, and random Bonus Rounds in which you must solve a Phrase to earn points, STITCH'em WORDS is here to test your vocabulary skills and concentration prowess!

We are working on a new surprise in the upgrade for you guys. Before we release it though, we would love to hear your feed backs and any feature request that you may have.

STITCH'em WORDS is on a limited-time sale of 50% OFF till next major upgrade.Get it now for only 1.99 !!

Please note, however, that the game DOES NOT support Jailbroken Phones.

p.s. Thank you spmwinkel for advice on how to post Youtube link !

If you have a youtube video, you can use [ youtube] [ /youtube] tags (remove the space after the [)
In between the tags, you paste what is after the = sign. For example, the bold part:
    nl.youtube.com/watch?v=GqSKSUVP3Hs

I don't believe other videos can be embedded here in the forums.

Congrats on the release though! :D

I bought this right after it was released (despite the dubious "reviews" ;)) and have to say that it is an enjoyable word game.

My only complaint is that if I require a clue, the clue is way too small. If the clue is a letter, I only see a tiny pink dot and have to guess which letter it is :( since most of the letters are the same shape. Can you work on something so that we can zoom in on the clue? By the way, I personally do not like the stylized letters in this game and would like to see something a bit more linear.

Definitely, we realize the clues are too small to read, and a fix is under way in the upcoming version :)

Guys we just realised that 10 of the promo codes that were issued over the weekend have still not been utilized. These codes are now available to be reused.

We would love to give it out to you, if you think you can post your reviews / feedbacks afterwards.

This game is fantastic, for 99 cents you can't go wrong.

The girlfriend has been beyond addicted to this game for the past few days.

Glad to see the developer has now posted a YouTube video. ^ ^

    Update
At request of the developer, here's part of my original review of this game.

I just created a US account so that I can participate in promo code giveaways/contests. I can give you my comments here or in iTunes. (Dutch account if you want, there are less people there who write reviews). I'd love to hear from you through PM. :)

Guys, I would love to give it to everyone if I can, but we are trying to pass it on to Members with more than 50 posts in the Forum to show credibility to these reviews.

Just because people may not have 50 posts in the forum doesn't indicate that reviews aren't made. Personally while I don't have that number of forums I write my reviews at the app store. Where personally, in addition to this forum, I believe makes the biggest impact because when someone is buying an app directly from their device those are the reviews they read first. Regardless good luck with your endeavors.

The thing is, there are many people who come here for codes only, and have a handful of posts from posting in promo code topics. They simply take the code and disappear, with or without writing a review. Fortunately you're an exception to that, but unfortunately you end up being the victim of measurements that have been taken to prevent promo code "theft".

    I'm impressed!

I purchased this game after the dev offered me a promo code. I didn't take him up on the offer of the code (I'm in Australia and we can't use promo codes here) but after seeing Donburns99's review in the previous thread on this game, I decided to buy the game and check it out for myself.

I was playing it yesterday and I must say that I am very impressed. I play lots of word games on my iPhone and this game is a lot of fun while at the same time it is something different. As you can see from the video and the previous reviews by Donburns99 and spmwinkel gameplay is more structured than in some other word games. Each level has a selection of square tiles and round tiles as well as a "word template" column that shows you what type of tiles can be used to make the words. Square tiles have images and round tiles have letters. Once you have created a word using a square tile the word for the tile appears on the tile below the image. I found this to be a big help on later levels. Once you have created a word the template is filled in and the word appears in the "word template" column. You can also shuffle the tiles around. This is a great way to trigger new word ideas!

Initially I was concerned that I would find the game too easy. I thought that the "word template" column where templates of the words appear would make it too easy to guess the words. I also thought that because the image tiles are in effect word tiles that this would also make the game too easy. While both these things do make it slightly easier than if there were only letter tiles they in no way makes the game too easy. The difficulty level has been increasing at a steady pace so far. By level six I realised that this game has the potential to be very brain twisting, especially if you try to find hidden words or if you try to complete every level in full. The letter and image tiles mean that I've been forced to think differently than I normally would with word games.

If you get stuck you can choose to view a hint. You get up to 3 hints to use per level. The hint fills in one of the tiles in the "word template" column. As joehunt said the clues are currently hard to see on the screen. Especially the letter tiles. This will not be an issue for long if this problem is addressed as the developer has promised. If you complete a level without using a hint then you receive bonus points.

You don't need to find all the words before you move onto the next level. You only have to find some of the words. Once the status bar on the right hand side is full you can choose to end the level and move onto the next level.

The bonus levels were a nice surprise. While gameplay for normal levels is leisurely (the time taken to complete a level is shown but normal levels are not played with a time limit) this changes on the bonus levels. In a bonus level (the ones I've tried so far) you use the tiles to complete a well known phrase before the time limit expires. It's a lot of fun and a nice way to break up normal gameplay and to add a sense of pace to an otherwise leisurely game.

There are many other things I like about this game. It is fun to play. It's polished and professional looking. The colour scheme is bright but not glaring. You can have more than one saved game (great if your device is used by more than one person). The status bar is shown so I can keep track of the time and battery life (keeping track of the time is important when I am on my lunch break). You can change the audio level of the music and sound effects independently of each other.

If you enjoy playing Wurdle, WordsWorth and Textropolis then you will enjoy playing Stitch'em Words. At only $0.99 I agree with Donburns99 that this game is a steal. You should buy it before the price increases.

The dev has asked for feedback/feature requests so here are some suggestions:
    1) Letter tiles - please change the font on the letter tiles to make them clearer to read.
    2) Hints - please make them larger so they are easier to read.
    3) Hints - it would be nice if you got more bonus points than you currently do when you complete a level without using hints.
    4) Confirm option - the buttons are fairly small and close together. Because of this I accidentally pressed the hint button when I meant to press the shuffle button. I would like a message that asks you to confirm using a hint or ending a level.
    5) Selecting tiles - there is a small pause between you selecting a tile and it appearing in the section where you view the words prior to stitching them. If possible please get rid of the pause.
    6) Screen dims - the screen automatically dims and then fades to black if you don't touch it for a few minutes. This is a pain if I am concentrating on making an elusive word or if my attention is briefly required on another task.
    7) High Scores - there is a high scores screen but this is obviously for high scores when all the "hundreds" of levels have been completed. Maybe a Progress Score or Current Score or just a Scores screen would be better. You could show the User's name the current level they are on and their current score.
    8) Hidden words - would it be possible to indicate the number of hidden words for each level? Maybe a text bubble with the number of words in it. For example if there are two hidden words on a level then a circle with the number 2 in it would appear on the screen.
    9) Difficulty level - I am finding the game nice and challenging. However, there are some extreme wordsmiths out there. You could have an optional master level of difficulty where no circles and squares are shown in the "word template" column. I think that would make the game very, very difficult indeed!
    10) Audio - when you start the game it fades out my ipod audio so I can't listen to my own music while playing.
