You're not alone, the concept of the game doesn't appeal to me either nor does lucrative cash purchased "respect points" play scheme. I don't know if the developer might have done better to entitle this game "Fashion Wars" in order broaden its appeal and avoid a somewhat sexist connotation.
Mafia Wars, Dope Wars, Candy Wars, Vampire Wars, Race Wars, they're ALL the SAME except except they have different layouts and different objects. All you do is change the name of some variables and voila!
Ha, there's like 50 versions of Vampire MMOs and the Mafia ones, now there's this one. Pretty much the same thing except I guess it's for girls who don't like zombies, gangsters, or vampires. I believe Apple should stop approving of these games and start approving on quality games and updates *cough* Pocket God *cough*

Hahaha attack of the "code as your username" juniors! In other news, if people buy it, they will sell it. And people are buying these stupid MMOs so they will continue to sell them. These devs don't care about what type of game THEY like, they care about what the PUBLIC likes. Because in the end, they just want money.

Not all of them are stupid. iQuest is one for example which currently has no friend codes, no point buying and is a solid Fantasy MMO. Mafia Wars has the formula but is actually entertaining. I would put iQuest as the best MMO in the app store currently, not annoying and enjoyable.
Okay well let me change that, IMO, all code-swapping "add me" games that add ridiculous amounts of spam to this site are stupid.
