I personally don't think voice chat would work on iPhone unless you have a headset. Cause you wouldn't be able to see the game if you were holding your phone up to yor mouth
It won't though - there will still be a few weeks after the game is finished where Apple has to approve it. I'm guessing that the game isn't submitted yet either, so I think we still have some time to wait. They are working hard on it though, and that is what matters
They use double tap on a button for auto shoot, but wouldn't it be better to have double tap on the right stick for auto shoot. Double tap on the left stick for reload or something. I think it is something to be considered cause it will make controlS a loth more quicker.
The controls work really well right now. The problem with needing to double-tap on the right stick to autoshoot is that you'd still need a standard shoot button if you don't want it to be automatic. It wouldn't really get rid of clutter.
Yeah that's true but the left stick for reload would be nice right Maybe right stick for hitting a opponent to instant death, it wouldn't hurt adding actions to double tap a control stick. While avoiding clutter.
Seems about right. I know they want to get it submitted as soon as it is finished, and I don't think they have much more work to do until then
Pity about the voice chat. Apple totally crippled it. And the controls! Why no double tap and drag to shoot?
Meh, I wouldn't use voice chat if it was there anyways. Games are only 3 minutes long, and there aren't teams. As for the controls, they work really well as it is. Autofire is more useful than any combination of tapping.
I only asked if there was voice chat because it seemed like it had that feature when they showed it off at an Apple event. I'm also curious to see what the feature is like, since I don't have and haven't heard of a game with it. Now that we know that there are no teams, it would be a usless feature.
I lost most of my interest a long time ago when they kept changing the name. Only having 4 player deathmatch and no voice chat makes it worse. I still have a little bit of hope, but meanwhile, MC: Sandstorm update is the one I'm waiting for.
What? Each game only lasts 3 minutes long? That's a shame. I was really looking forward to this game, but suddenly, my interest is slowly fading. Looks like this will be a game that I will quickly get bored of.
The game is designed so that it can be played in short bursts, so 3 minute rounds make sense. If they fragment the game by adding a bunch of different setting, then it will be harder for the matchmaking engine to get a game going quickly.
Did you actually play the online multiplayer in Real Football 2010? If you did, i'm surprised you're that optimistic about sandstorm. @ kmacleod, I was wondering about the level designs, like size and layout. Are they similar to say Goldeneye on N64? Are they relatively small and do they feel about right for 4 player? Are there open areas vs small corridors? Are their sniper spots (although there is no sniper rifle according to their site)? And how many maps did you try and do you know how many there are included? Also, do you or mjmoco know if map packs will be available as DLC?
Agreed. Does anyone know whether there will be a variety of maps and backgrounds, or whether they are just all the same? So far from the videos, there seems to be only the one map.
