I haven't been following this enough, but what will be in each DLC pack? Is it just energy, weapons, suits in one as one upgrade (like a level 1)? Then level 2, 3, 4, etc..?
Maybe, but since the app costs nothing, you really only have to commit as much money as you want to the game.

Well, Ngmoco is probably expecting to make enough money through DLC and ad revenue to cover the server expenses. I'm really hoping they're correct, but I'm sure this is something they put a lot of time and energy into figuring out. As for other developers, if Ngmoco shows that this model is successful, you can bet some of the other developers will try something similar. As it is, there is no reason to expect any other game to be free until their developers say otherwise.
