No, a lot of times, new games are released and they don't show up for a while. Take Gameloft and EA. They have game catalogs and it's behind a lot of the time.
Are you serious? You really couldn't look past a few ads? Why is having small ads at the bottom of the menu screen so bad? You spend most of your time in the game, not looking at the menu.
ngmoco is not known for ads. I don't think I've seen a single ad in any of their games. I doubt they'd ruin their image and presentation of the game by putting ads in it.
Here are my thoughts: Apple just allowed free apps to sell things, which wasn't allowed before. http://www.mobilecrunch.com/2009/10/15/in-app-purchase-in-free-apps-a-shot-across-the-bow-of-iphone-piracy/ This now opens up the door for eliminate to be free. So this might explain why it was held back for so long, (arguments with apple, possibly?) and might bring it closer to our beloved iDevices.
nope, because eliminate submitted it like a week ago and this was announced today, they clearly had it before it was announced, they are iSponsered so they the latest crap from Apple
wow, long time no comment. I only appear at the release of ngmoco games and then I slip back into the shadows. But I digress. I think this was a very smart move on ngmoco's. they will get alot of people to get the game and they will really be a great demo for what other companies to do games the same. way. Can't wait for this game and for all of those of you out there that were there: BRING ON THE SNUGGIES AND SEXY DANCE PARTIES!!!!!! edit, wow this was my 200th post.
OK, sorry for bringing it up but ads just bug me especially when put in such a polished game. The thought made me shudder a bit. I was imagining ads being displayed while looking for a game, loading a game, and everywhere in between. I know it wont be this bad, probably wont even be noticeable, but i did not like the thought of something like that taking away from the professionalism of this game.
Not a whole lot, which is why mine is no longer jailbroken. But, in the days before the App Store, jailbreaking was the only way of running third party software. Even after the app store was released, there was plenty of stuff you could only do on a jailbroken phone. Now, that list is down to tethering and emulation.
No isponsered has nothing to do with apple they are no more special than any other dev in the information stream
Well actually all their new games have some ads. But I can't blame them. They are smart. They save ads money and therefore can sell games at a lower price or most free now. It's more than fair. The benefit of the exposure. And we benefit by having quality games fir free or at very low cost. There's nothing wrong with that.
Free Insta buy for sure I just hope that u guys don't mess up the dlc too much. I hate paying for separate stuffs like each map for 99cents, more weapons for $$. I'd rather prefer a single upgrade price to make it a full version which includes everything available. These micro transactions just don't sound great. Hopefully we'll find out soon enough how all this dlc works in eliminate.
2 things: 1. Now my friends with iPhones and Touches will actually play this. If it was priced very much they wouldn't consider it, not because they are cheap, but because they aren't iPhone gamers like myself. This will have huge numbers of people playing. 2. The app reviews in the free chart suck even though the games are free. I wonder if Eliminate will have an average 3 star review as a free app vs. an average 4.5 star review as a paid app. I guess that doesn't matter if the game really kicks as much ass as it looks like it will.
