Cool, we'll put together a list of interested people once the game launches and everyone has a chance to play it. Hopefully ngmoco will help set up a private tournament, but if they don't, I'll still be able to set up tournament management software and a VOIP service - we'll look into the logistics later Probably further away than that - Apple has been taking longer than 2 weeks to approve apps these days. I hope you're right though!
But lately it's been about 8 to 10 days and this has been submitted earlyer this week, so we could be playing this and me sucking next week .
If they submitted it earlier this week, how do they know they're suddenly good right now? Does that mean they were accepted?
The only FPS experience I've had is Halo, possibly a bit of GoldenEye when I was younger. If we set up a community day, I'll definately want in.
This will be great! I still don't know why they got rid of voice chat though. Such a useful feature. On another note, you guys are all DEAD! *cue evil laughing* I play FPS games professionally.
I play a lot of pc fps myself, but I'm not sure those skills parallel an iphone fps. It will take me a while if I ever get very good at this game.
Yes Cool, hopefully we'll be able to get something going. It is nice to see some interest in the idea! I'm guessing they got rid of it because it would have required that the game gets a 17+ age rating. I still think they should sell it as a DLC pack, but it isn't an essential feature.
+1 I play a ton of Counter Strike Source. I'm not saying I'm good, but I'm certainly better than half the people who play CSS. However, I'm pretty sure I'm going to suck balls at this game. Still can't wait!
I was thinking it would be the same way for me, but I actually was able to adapt myself to the game and get comfortable with it in a very short period of time. It isn't the same as a keyboard and mouse, but it still feels really good.
That would definitely be amazing. I really really really want to verse you and mjmoco (which I probably won't be able to.) But yeah, that would be sick, a Touch Arcade tournament!!
Well FIFA was astonishingly released the same weekend it was submitted. People say its because apple looks at bigger cooperations first. For example; if some random tic-tac-toe game were to be released on September 2nd, and lets say bungie schedules an iphone version of halo to be released September 6th, if the tic tac toe game is still not released, apple would start off halo higher on the list and delay the tic tac toe game release. Apple looks at games that they think will have a better produce and puts them higher on the list. So we could be looking at the game being released in 5 minutes to no more then my guess a week.
I'll be happy to play against you, but I don't know if we're going to see any of the developers online. Hopefully they'll drop in from time to time; it would be fun to test our skills against some of the people responsible for making the game! That is possible. I know that large developers don't get special treatment from an official standpoint, but behind the scenes, the individuals doing the reviewing are probably going to have more of an incentive to post the games as quickly as possible.
I like tacos bean burritos, enchiladas and taquitos, but it doesn't matter if I can't pwn nibs on my iPhone Lol I play a Ron of fps on comp and xbox but I can never get the feel of iPhone fps. The only thing I have going for me is my reaction.
OMG ITS SUBMITTED, OH MY GOSHH!! AHHHH THIS IS SOO EXCITING!! okay now i have to go change my pants...
