You are missing the point... We made the podcast about two days ago, and Andrew got his facts from the Press Event (Hodapp wasn't there, he got a preview build). Chris may have told Hodapp the recharge time was 90 minutes, but the fact is it has likely changed since then. I also could be wrong.
I know but like when imech came out cracked app users couldn't connect to the servers without the developers having to do anything
Oh, I agree. 90 minutes is great, but unlikely because ngmoco wants to sell those in-app purchase battery packs. If the wait time is short, very few people will actually buy them.
I was playing the same build as everyone else and Arn and I spent an hour on the phone with Chris about 45 minutes before the event started?
I don't know what the issue is Tim. - It doesn't sound like you personally were at the event, or spoke to Ngmoco. - We had a lengthy conference call with Chris (producer for eliminate) - Fact: 90 minute recharge time in the build we played. - Fact: Chris told us in a debriefing call flat out it was currently 90 minutes - We also clearly said in the article nothing had been 100% finalized - Chris also replied to the article, so he could have easily corrected it if it we had mis-represented Eliminate in any way. arn
Hey Arn. No, I was not personally at the event, but my colleague Andrew was and reported back to us both in an article on the site and on our podcast. I understand (and previously stated in this thread) that I understand it is fact that in your build the recharge time was 90 minutes. What I am pointing out is that it isn't 100% finalized. I have not yet read the front page article, which is likely the reasoning for this misunderstanding. Long story short, it seems all of us are thinking the same thing.
Well, since most people here are basing their info on the front page article, you should prob read it, and spend less time just pimping your site. arn
does anyone know what would happen if your energy recharges mid-game? would you suddenly be able to pick up credits or have to wait till the end of the round?
Seems like a good guess to me. Similarly, I'd be surprised if you could run out of energy in the middle of a round and stop being able to earn credits.
Does anyone know how long it takes for your energy to die for every recharge? Basically what I'm saying is how long can you play before your energy is gone?
I believe it is going to be somewhere between 3 and 5 games (they haven't told us yet exactly), and each game is 3 minutes long. So basically, around 10-15 minutes of game time every 90 minutes will give you energy. This is based on speculation of the hints that have been dropped by ngmoco in the past, and may not be anywhere close to the actual numbers.
