They took out voice chat, but I think there is still a lobby chat during Friends games. Text-based MMOs on this platform are basically those multiplayer online games that are done through lists and menus, like Mafia Wars, Epic Pet Wars, iMobsters - stuff like that. Those games usually come in multiple versions, which come with various amounts of in-game currency or points. Ngmoco appears to be doing that with Touch Pets, having different editions with different amounts of "Food" points, whatever that means. These editions have started to appear under certain peoples' recently played games lists on Plus+. The thing is, we don't currently know what, if anything, those Food points are really useful for. All we know is that different versions are appearing in Plus+, so different versions will presumably be sold. Nobody from Ngmoco has signed on to enlighten us as to what "Food" points do - they may not even realize that this has leaked out yet.
Confirmed via twitter that Eliminate will ship as only one version. Not sure what the "Pro" tag in Plus+ is about.
Nice explanation but people keep in mind that if Ngmoco has just announced that there will be no "Eliminate Pro" that means there may not be different versions of Touch Pets: Dogs either.
Thank you for you help. I would just like to buy the full version of the game and not have too worry about it. I would be glad too pay for the full version. Should be interesting.
Haha cool, well good move getting confirmation That is absolutely true - it seems likely that TPD will ship in multiple versions, but we definitely don't know for sure. All we have are game entries in Plus+, nothing more. No problem, glad I can help The thing is, even if this ships in multiple versions, there wouldn't really be a "full" version. Each version would just have a different amount of points associated with it. You may never use all of the points that the biggest version would have to offer. This is all idle speculation at the moment, though - until we get confirmation from ngmoco, it would definitely be a mistake to read too much into this.
i am going to try and stay up for the next 24 hours (not related to this game) would like to come out in that time period but i doubt it
Im going to try to get 5 stars on all songs on hard mode in rock band while im waiting for this game. So i probably have another week.
