That's good to know there won't be too much. I don't think it would be a good idea to be able to earn credits in practice mode, considering that the AI is weak and there would be nothing to accomplish much offline. It would be very nice if they added a single player campaign though. You could earn credits in that. And to go even further about suggesting features, you could do co-op campaign online for credits, and if not online then maybe via bluetooth or local wifi.
Hmmm I have an iTouch.. I hope they have bluetooth for me and my bro if we are in a car.. I'd like to play him alot. We could cheat with trying to die and get credits but I'd like a unranked/no credits match
Bluetooth and/or local wifi multiplayer deathmatch would be a good idea but since you can "cheat" for credits with your friend, they could reduce the amount of credits, although you could do that online with a friend so what's the point of doing that?
No bluetooth included, just server-based multiplayer and offline practice. You can host a private game, but it still gets routed through the servers.
Is there any way of checking the scoreboard while playing? Like maybe when you die there will be a scoreboard that will pop up?
Hi Kmacleod: do you know if we might see Touchpets and Eliminate soon or is it going too be alot longer. Sometimes you find out things we can't .
Only apple will know. Even the developers that submit the app won't be able to know. If developers don't know then a beta tester won't know either.
Nah, everything I learned during the community day is now public knowledge, so I'm in the same boat as everyone else I'm not sure if you've heard the news about Touch Pets, though - apparently they're going to be selling it in multiple editions, each with different "Food" points, similar to those text-based MMO games on the App Store right now. This could be one of the reasons that game hasn't been approved yet. Each edition could have to go through it's own approval process.
Just want to know about Eliminate, what are the different maps like? Is there a big difference? Is there a mini-map? Do some have more water, different environments, etc? Or is it all in the factory just with slightly different layouts?
I remember 3 of the maps vividly. One of them features a pit full of powerups in the middle of the level that can be flooded by triggering a switch - this leads to an interesting balance between trying to get the powerups and trying to flood other people who try to get the powerups. Another level features a bunch of traps and obstacles that will kill anyone who gets stuck in them. Another level features an elevated sniper position that provides a great vantage point to kill people on the ground. I don't remember the others as well. There was no minimap when I played, and I doubt they've added one. The levels are too small for radar to be that useful. Different levels have different obstacles, that is sure. Not every level has water, for example. Every level looks reasonably different, though they do all take place in the factory. Different colored lighting helps. The layouts are very different, and pretty memorable.
WHAT!?! There's gonna be an Eliminate Pro? I'd pay money for the "Full Version" Rather than having a free version. Free equals less content, more ads, and, quite frankly, less fun.
Well we don't necessarily know that... the only Eliminate that has shown up under anyone's profile on Plus+ is the Pro version, so it is possible they just forgot to pull that from the name.
As someone said before, they probably called it that so that people wouldn't think this is a lite version or something. If they were gonna make a premium version, it would probably just get rid of ads if there are any in the free one.
