Originally checking Ngmoco Twitter, and was believe Touchpets released already.... But too bad that's not the truth Apple start to kill people's hope now... "Change is what we need" for App Approval...
well im sick so I cant go out and enjoy myself, so im once again checking constantly for updates on eliminate
for those complaining about the long wait... You realize that this game has been under development for ages, has had several redirections and renamings over that time, and will most likely be totally awesome when it is released? Why complain? And the 'oh no, I'm not going to buy energy so I'll not progress as much as other players' people - the matchmaking algorithm of the game automatically puts you up against other players of similar skill and level - so the non-energy games will just help you refine your skills so you can pwn all the harder when you are playing for credit. Way to go ngmoco: ) anyway, they keep putting out seriously good games.
I feel sort of the same way as a lot of others posting here. It has gotten to the point where I'm not nearly as excited for this game as I was like 1-2 weeks ago...the hype has severely died down inside my brain lol. I'm not gonna complain and whine about "Ehh I want Eliminate!" but I am gonna b*tch about Apple being complete and total idiots when it comes to listening to their consumers, of which they practically NEVER do. Not only that, but their entire approval process is a piece of garbage. Some developers want to protest it saying that most systems run just fine without individual pieces being approved. Plus Apple is so unreliable, sometimes it takes a few days for your app to be approved, and other times it takes like 2 months. It's just so much bull sh*t! Apple is cool and all, but they have me pretty p*ssed off lately...
Nice last sentence haha and I agree, that's why there is this amazing thing called Jailbreaking. But even that isn't perfect. At least you can download themes with WinterBoard and stuff, but now we are getting off topic really. I apologize.
Hate to call you out MJ (@ ngmoco) but friend 'mjmoco' on Plus and look at her recent games. I'd post screens but I'm using my phone, plus I'm sure you'll get a kick out of what you find (atleast I did!). On a TP: D note, seems that my post (hundreds of pages ago) about the theory on ngmoco's recent public backing of EPW is because they are using the same strategy with TP: D there are atleast TWO different iPhone apps for TP: D. One with an included 600 food, and another with 120 food. Everything is starting to make a bit more sense.
Good call... i've found that out as well... So that means they are doing something bigger than EPW... As EPW solely 2D, but TP: D will be 3D...
Hey, you're right, nice find! None of the awards shown are particularly interesting, unfortunately. I don't see anything really fun or clever, just sandard fare. The TPD pricing is a bit surprising considering the push towards in-game dlc. Not sure why they're selling multiple versions instead.
Uh oh, I went to check out mjmoco's games after I added her and accidentally hit 'Report User' when I wanted to hit remove friend and then clicked report user when it re confirmed because I thought that was how removing friends would work. It was only after I reported it when I found out I accidentally hit the wrong button, hope nothing bad happens to me Anyway, I wonder if they are going to make a paid version of Eliminate after releasing the free version because some games have a free version and a paid 'Pro' version for users who want a better experience.
My guess is that Eliminate Pro is a paid version sans DLC or ads. But seriously, WTF? Look on Coco Moco's profile, it has '10 Food', '450 Food', '200 Food' and just Touch Pets: Dogs. I don't like this move at ALL. So much for being a company that cares about quality.
Probably just confusion and head-scratching at ngmoco What the hell? How is this not caring about consumers? They're just trying to release different versions at different price points to make more money and provide a good deal to consumers. No, it just means they've un-blocked the game from the Plus+ servers Also of note, Cocomoco has "Harbor Havok 3D" under the Games list...
I neither agree nor disagree with it. The only thing I'd rather have seen is the different versions being accessible as DLC instead of as separate products. Aside from that, it doesn't matter to me one bit how they choose to break the game up. We already knew that the game would be sold similarly to Eliminate in that it would be cheap with micro transactions, I'm not sure why you're flipping out about what is essentially old news.
