im pretty dam excited for this, hopefully its gonna be good on 3G because i dont have wifi nobody knows when its coming out do they?
After checking out the website, which armor do you think you will be using the most? What will your play-style be? I will probably be using the Sentry Armor the most. I can stand still, turn invisible and wait in a hot spot for victims to come prancing right into me, they won't even know what hit them.
^^ I'm still waiting for Rolando to get down to $2.99, but I'll get ELIMINATE immediately. I can't wait that long. How much do you think it'll be? Not $9.99 for sure because they need players on the web. I would guess at around $6.99. That seems reasonable.
I think it will/should be around 3.99-4.99. It should be relatively cheap, so more people can afford it. An online game isn't good unless there are a lot of people playing it. The population is the sole of an MMO.
But if they sell it for that cheap, they won't make back that much money. They have to think about how well it'll sell because they probably spent millions of dollars into this game, AND they have to think about how the community will be.
I will pay a full $9.99. I think it's worth $8 though. Not 3 or four bucks. That makes no sense. Eight dollars seems good
DLC doesn't get that many sales daily. http://www.pocketgamer.biz/r/PG%2EBiz/Pangea+Software+news/news.asp?c=15660
i personally want them to sell it $9.99 because if they go any lower you might have to buy maps (in app purchase) when the new ones come out or anything for that matter.
I suppose that since you think that, you think they aren't going to get enough buyers. No matter what price it is, the game will fail anyway if they don't have enough buyers/players. They couldn't have spent millions. The game only has five levels. Even with the online servers, it wouldn't amount to that much. And that community won't be good if they can't get that many people playing.
From reading the main page hands-on i'm glad that they changed the 24 hour approach for energy to 90 minutes, i'm sure they planned on giving you more then 4 games per 24 hours though I like it, much better for a game you can pick up and play when you like, opposed to using up your energy, not wanting to buy more and waiting until the next day because you used up the energy and had none left for that evening. If the game plays well and I have good fun with it then I don't mind buying DLC, but that also factors into how much the game will cost to buy and if I feel like handing over more money.
A puzzle game such as Enigmo wouldn't get that many in app purchases because fans of puzzle games don't really see getting expansions as necessary. Whereas, online FPS fans are FAR more likely to eat in app purchases alive. In other words, hardcore games are completely different from casual games. That's more or less one of the differences.
