Yeah, I can absolutely agree with you on that. I'm off for tonight hopefully we will have some good news soon Cya
Yeah, I'm going to head out for tonight as well - I was hoping the game would be released today, but I guess it's back to waiting for another day. Hopefully some good news tomorrow, for sure
3000 points from one game!? I can't wait to see all of the achievements. I hope they aren't just a bunch of fluff like 5 kills, 15 kills, 25 kills, 100 kills, etc.
Wow. Last summer? I would probably have laughed at it and brushed it aside if it came out last summer. They've had a year to make it better. Don't complain. It probably would have been garbage if it came then.
The sad thing is, many people will do this. They may try and deny it, but they will inevitably play it, praise it, and go back to playing Halo and Quake while complementing ngmoco. As it is an iphone game, it will inevitably begin to seem shallow to certain people eventually, and they will play other online FPS games that will most likely have more depth, assuming they're at least somewhat of a gamer. Edit: @Deiden: That's exactly what i'm talking about. There are a ton of other online shooters, much deeper and console/PC oriented at that, that offer the same. Why not choose those instead, and just use Eliminate as a casual FPS thing for when you're on the road? How many online FPS games don't offer a unique style of play, with weapons, classes, skins, armors, upgrades, and fully customizable leveling systems? Note i did say somewhat of a gamer, so gamers like me have several alternatives to Eliminate just in case. That said, i don't see any reason why anyone in this thread would switch back and forth between their games, assuming the game doesn't ship stale, which it will not.
Then again, Eliminate offers a semi-unique rpg element to the online fps. The different armors, guns, skins, and upgrades will allow people to develop unique styles of play that fit them. Not to mention that this game being an iDevice app allows for updates that will keep the game fresh. Keep in mind that while what you said is true for other iDevice games, there has never been one quite like this.
The RPG elements is what makes me want this app, along with online play. It will definitely keep me busy during my free time.
I hope this game comes out tomorrow cuz im sick and will be able to play it all day. I am a little worried that the game only has 6 weapons and 5 maps though. Hopefully there is DLC for new weapons and maps.
i only hope that the game actually lives up to all this hype, and that the servers dont crash at launch
There could be more on the way, but the ability to upgrade your guns may kind of feel like a different gun. Best part about this app is that there's nearly an infinite amount of customization you can do. While you may prefer faster reloading guns, your enemy may prefer more damage, and etc. That sounds like fun don't you think?
well its gun until someone figure out a noob combo and uses it every single match forever, And then everyone starts using it. Kinda ruined COD4 with those noobs weilding M16s and COD:WAW with those juggernoobs running around with Mp40s. If they dont have those problems it should be good.
Luckily, I got 3g! All of the gun and armor upgrades will probably make up for the lack of guns im sure. What makes me excited is it combines my 3 favorite gameplay elements: rpg, online, and shooter!
