According to Ngmoco's twitter, both games are still in submission with Apple. Also, the Canada testing period isn't going to last long, and is just to make sure everything is working. Also, they have three unannounced games in progress!
Yeah, they are called Unannounced 1, Unannounced 2 and Unannounced 3. I'm looking forward to playing Unannounced 2 the most...it sounds awesome
Honestly, I'm starting to get tired of all of this. It's getting a little dull. I really can't wait but there's really been no information coming out over the past few weeks. Off topic but, I checked out your website and those are some nice pics. Got some questions: 1.Is that a MobileMe website? 2.If so, did you use iWeb and what theme did you use?
Thanks, glad you like the site! It was all hand-coded in HTML and CSS, and the images were hand made, except for the background, which is a heavily modified version of Apple's old brushed metal texture. The zooming is handled via FancyZoom.js. The site is being hosted on MobileMe, but was hand-made, and uses no templates or iWeb. If you have any other questions, drop me a PM, because this is definitely pretty off-topic Anyways, we're all getting a bit bored with waiting, but I'm sure Ngmoco is even more bored with it than we are. Keep in mind, they need to be making money on games to stay in business. The longer they go without this game in stores, the more potential business they lose. And that is no fun for anyone...
Kinda sad, as I noticed today my excitement for this game has dropped now that the hype train is over.
What information can they even provide? Multiple sites have already done in-depth previews covering nearly every facet of gameplay.
Thats all true... as obvious and unnecessary to say as it sounds, now would be a really good time for the game to come out. It has gotten just about as much pre-launch exposure as it is going to get, and everybody is already hyped up about downloading it. There isn't really anything we don't know - it only remains to play the game. Hopefully it won't be much longer before we're doing just that.
Anyone know if the test period in Canada is going to be the same length as it was for Topple 2 and Mazefinger? I realize they might be for different reasons but it seems logical it might be roughly the same time frame. Ngmoco's quote about Topple 2, "Topple 2 Plus+ *and Mazefinger Plus+ are now in Canada. And Topple 2 Plus+ is free. (Dont worry, theyll be available worldwide soon).". Sadly, that took around 1 month to make it to the states after that announcement.
It is a bit different here, I think. This is a game they're expecting to make a huge amount of money on, so they have a strong incentive to get it released worldwide immediately. The others were freebies designed to draw people into Plus+, which has less of a pressing urgency.
I would vote for a 10 Minute gameplay video...everything explained from settings to setting up games to playing right....so we can all start right away
But you can start right away, there's literally nothing to the game set up short of entering in your Plus+ account and tapping the menu item to start playing.
My comment wasn't coming from any level of rationale and just based on wanting...idk more. Ultimately what we all want is for the game released. The wait has really been a long time because many of us have been waiting since the 3.0 intro when it was called LiveFire. LOL, yeah way off topic. I understand that all too well and have read many times how grinding the approval process can be. Forty app reviewers is simply too few for the App Store.
You are right! But it would really REALLY be cool to see MJ, Chris, B-Money and Neil fight each other for 2 rounds or so.... it would really help kill some time while waiting... I'm sure they are playing it for hours already and haven't stopped development but are already working on future updates and improvements...Anybody not interested?
We still don't know anything about about how long energy will last and cost. For such an integral feature they haven't told us a thing about it.
