I like the idea of being in some sort of big clan with all of you. I am not familiar with the management, but the potential to always have a speedy dedicated server full of people who I would enjoy playing with appeals to me.

Also, it would be very plausible for all of us in the clan to identify each other via our statuses

the problem is is that how do we identify our selves in game we can't change our names do we have an official clan skin say the elite just cuz... or what well i am out for the night guy's pick your skin that will represent the TA clan (for in-game identification) not just while surfing plus+ so see ya in the morin'

Hmmm, I see your point, but would it really matter that much in game? Considering that clan members would most likely see each other in private games, or at least games that weren't randomly put together, and considering that there may be some form of textual chat before the game, and considering that there are only four people in a game, wouldn't it be very easy to simply say what you look like even if there are other people in the game?Furthermore, most games with clan members would probably be with clan members only. This is also not to mention that games can seemingly be formed by sending invitations to people on your friends list, thus clan member only games would be very easy to create as long as you are ok with playing with the same four people for an extended period of time. There could be a thread somewhere in touch arcade dedicated to organizing such games.

Uhm..I'm aware. Again, I'm saying it shouldn't take this long to approve ANY app. Average approval time used to be like 9 days, its slowly going up and up.

Show me any software distribution channel that handles even 10% of the volume Apple does that has a comparable approval time. Show me any distribution channel, physical or digital, that allows a software product to go from GM to store shelves in two weeks.

I believe Apple does have room to improve their current approval system...since it makes absolutely NO SENSE to double check every single App update and in 99% most Apps are harmless... What I would suggest them doing is basically approve every single game from developers who have a track record of delivering good apps.
They should advice their devs what they should not include and what they believe is critical.
Updates for Apps that are approved are for the most part meaningless unless somebody intentionally wants to misuse Apples trust...that can be done anyway by hiding some functions until the App is released...Apple won't see them...
Don't get me wrong I love Apple and the products they are selling. But there's the thing called trust and they are not trusting their developers in my opinion.
They should at least trust the big companies and game producers and those who have a track record.

Sometimes updates take just toooooo long to arrive in the App Store and as a developer that means death to almost any project... Let's say ELMINATE has a serious flaw somewhere and needs some fixing...They will fix it in say 2 days and could then immediately distribute it that way to keep their users satisfied. If it takes 3 weeks until 500 000 downloaders get their updates, the ratings will have gone down so far that it will take another 3 months to get them up again to normal levels...just because they were not able to deliver an important fix... It makes no sense and it IS a great disadvantage that Apple creates there for small developers.
They should do more due diligence when accepting developers and start trusting them once they are inside the program to accept the rules set.

Say there are 500 new submissions every day.. there are 5 persons in the approval department. Every person should just go over 100 Apps per day. say 12,5 Apps in an hour just to make sure the App is fine...that there is no obscene content and that it actually starts etc. All the have to do is open the App go trough all the menus etc. and then instantly approve it or mark it for later approval and go on. That would allow 99% of the apps to go trough within 24hours.. the apps that were marked will be reviewed by someone will will look into things in detail and contact the developer if necessary.

You're missing the point - why should they have to expand this process? They've approved tens of thousands of apps in two weeks or less, which is an incredible feat. Two weeks is nothing, everybody here is just impatient and trying to find someone to blame.

I'll support half of it... Because if Apple didn't check apps, then I guess what happen with Android will exist on iPhone (heaps of people need to change their Magic because app crash and turn to complete brick)... With Apple's reputation, they won't allow this to happen. What I'll say is, they should just shorten the time needed, 10 or so days are fine enough (looking at codes + checking functionality).

They have improvement for sure, but at least let us (developer) provide feedback....

wow ur pretty close-minded. they should expand because thats what companies do, if they have a way to expand and approve apps quicker, then that'd be better. more apps/updates getting approved quicker, devs are able to get their money, appstore customers are happy, it MAKES SENSE.

and werent u a beta for Elim? so you saying
is kinda biased. you've had the opportunity to play it.

They have been expanding. The app store approval process keeps getting better and better for developers. They've been steadily tweaking things like content ratings and such. Also, developers keep submitting new apps. Lots of them. Apple keeps having to approve additional apps from a growing number of developers, which isn't easy work.

Even with all of this, the apps get approved in about two weeks, which is close to nothing for any serious developers.

I've played this app once during the community day, but that doesn't change a damn thing. There have been many games I've been excited to play over the years, and I've found that whining and complaining hasn't yet caused the games to come out earlier. Maybe it will someday
