And that's why everyone repeatedly asks the same questions over and over every page. Because the thread is full of pointless, stupid posts like that one that cause people to be completely unable to find actual info. It's like the Minigore and Pocket God threads. Completely pointless due to disregard for rules.
It isn't just the members who disregard the rules, it is that the moderators and administrators encourage it. Rules aren't any good if they aren't enforced, or even attempted to be enforced. This site has so much potential - game developers actually sign on and engage with users here! It is unfortunate that this site isn't better than it is. I don't blame people for asking the same questions over and over again, either. They don't have much of a choice, because most of the time, the questions go unanswered the first time around.
I completely agree. The reason I come to this site is for the interaction with developers, and first-hand info into the games I come to love. But it's so hard to find developer posts in the middle of the flurry of spam that appears in threads like these. And I agree, questions need to be asked, and are often unanswered, but when threads become like this, the question has already been asked. The answer is just too hard to find, so the question ends up having to be asked again. If people (including mods) only contributed to discussion when the discussion is game-related, and not "posting whatever I feel like to increase my post count," this forum would be so much better off.
Sadly sometimes they do. But thankfully it`s only allowed to go on rarely and is not tolerated most of the times. May be they wanted to hype up such threads like minigore and eliminate for whatever reason But as I said, such a spam fest is allowed only once in a while, so I dont have much problem with it. Let some n00bs.. Junior Members increase there post counts too
For whatever it's worth, threads like this are almost impossible to moderate to make everyone happy. With so little information about upcoming games, there often is very little to talk about. Deleting all the content-less excitement-driven posting will piss off way more people than it will make happy.
Fixed Its more of an excuse to me but like I said earlier, dont really care as long as its kept to a few special threads only.
It isn't about deleting a bunch of posts, it is about stepping in if a thread starts to get out of hand and telling people to stop babbling about unrelated things. I honestly don't think that would piss people off. I think most people would rather participate in a community driven by intelligent discussion and the exchange of information than a run-of-the-mill chat room. I don't think people intentionally go off topic, but it can sort of happen unconsciously. I can't imagine developers like this type of thing either, since they all seem to vanish once it starts, and have never participated in it. Anyways, I'm done with this subject. Its your site, and you'll run it how you like. And the guy above was right, this is just as off-topic as everything else.

It might get released in the morning, there is definitely a chance of it! A friend of mine set up a canadian iTunes account, and I'll probably end up using that if I get too impatient, or find myself with a bunch of unexpected free time

Oh I made one too, I'm not denying that! I'll just be at a friends house most of the day tomorrow, so I'll be using that account if it does come out There wasn't much of value posted. A few wallpapers and some answers to questions about how weapons, energy, and credits would work.
I ended up browsing through it quickly when I woke up yesterday, then trying to go back and answer the questions that were unanswered from 40 pages prior - perhaps we have a bit too much time on our hands

Nope, nobody at ngmoco has posted anything in a day or two. There really isn't much that we don't already know for them to post. Maybe some more specific information about exactly how much energy you get for each purchase you make would be nice.
