Gameloft you mean? I just checked MC, and you're right, they do have a new control scheme - nice find Their new control scheme seems to work pretty well, actually. The double-tap to fire continuously seems to work inconsistently, but I like where they're coming from with not having to move your thumb to a dedicated shoot button. Still, I was really digging Eliminates auto fire function, and I think it is still the way to go for rapid-fire weapons. Gameloft's new control scheme might be ideal for things like rocket launchers and sniper rifles, however The control schemes for both games work really well, frankly.
It looked like in the recent ngmoshows they were using that scheme as well. But you probably know more about it than me. I just want a functional control scheme
I'll have to check that out, I think they are going to launch with several options. Hopefully they'll have something for everyone
I was too lazy to read 27 pages of comments but.. I have a feeling this game will undergo 2 more majors changes/ name changes. Then ngmoco will go bankrupt because these people have been working on the name for so long. STOP CHANGING THE NAME AND FOCUS ON THE GAME. thats all i wanted to say. I mean it looks amazing but since u cant get over the name or figure out a release date. Oh and you should add one more game mode, possibly a ripoff of nazi zombies or horde or u can get creative with it. Just dont name the new type. K?
All you had to do was read the first and last page to know that the game is being submitted in a few days and the name is final.
They said Eliminate is close to submission about a month ago! They are just telling us that to generate more hype for this game!
Close can still mean a month. We now have official info that it will be submitted in the next few days (along with TouchPets, which seems to be sneaking into the app store without all the hype).
It won't be that far away if it is really going to be submitted in the next few days. The lack of publicity for Touch Pets is pretty strange. If that game bombs, ngmoco will have nobody to blame but themselves.
There are other ways to market than the ngmoshow; I'm not sure what their strategy is, but I think the game has a huge potential to be a hit if it is marketed in the right ways.
I think Eliminate is going to be a huge success, and I think Touch Pets could be huge as well, if it is exposed to the right crowd. Also, I hope they're going to be launching a Japanese version, because it could do exceptionally well there.
I think both of the games will be marketed very well. Chris Plummer is a marketing specialist and has LOTS of experience. I've seen ads on apptism.com months ago announcing just infos for Eliminate. I'm sure they have the largest budget and the best strategy. Those games will be great, all they need is exposure. Once you've made it to the TOP 10 on the AppStore they will have made it on getting their name and logo across to the masses. Also don't forget their Plus+ Network and other ngmoco games that will constantly be playing the two new commercials on rotation and you can also expect small ads in Eliminate and Touch Pets. There are 50 million devices right now, more than ever. It makes more sense than ever to run ad campaigns and I'm sure ngmoco will do a superb job here. Now that they have spent so much time and thereby invested SOOOO much in terms of resources, time, money and expectations they will make sure to market their gems well. Also for them it's not just another game out of 40 or so like for Gameloft. The two products besides the Rolando series are their the main flagship products and honestly they deserve the success.
