The levels I played were tightly designed and perfect for 4 players. Generally speaking, each level is based around a central theme. One level has a giant pit in the center of the stage where all of the powerups are, and switches that dump water into the pit. Different people will approach that design with unique strategies, which allows for a lot of variety in how any given game will be played. Another level is a tight corridor style level, but full of deadly machinery and moving walls, which adds extra ways to die. Another level has an elevated central bridge which gives anyone on it a great vantage point to shoot people on the ground, but the bridge itself is small, and you can't see if anyone is coming up the elevator to get you from behind. Graphically they all have a similar (but not identical) style, but each one has a very different and memorable layout. I believe there are 5 levels total, but I'm not sure on this point. Ngmoco definitely wants to get more levels designed eventually, but they need to ship the game before they do. Pricing strategies for extra content like this wasn't mentioned.
This guy's sick of waiting for Eliminate A word of advice Ngmoco... Don't piss off someone that wears a wolf cap
^^^wow^^^ The jeans and belt-buckle really complete the look not to mention the furry "muff-enhancing" bikini bottoms...pure class.
We're all looking forward to it. I'm sure nobody is more eager to see this game released than ngmoco themselves. But it isn't going to be shipped before it is finished, so relax.
Relax? I am relaxed. BTW, I know it's not gonna ship until it's finished, and I wouldn't want it to anyway.
I went to the Meineke Car Care Bowl last year (UNC vs West Virginia) and a West Virginia fan had a hat made out of a coyote. I don't know if he is excited for eliminate however.
In the months and months that this game has been worked on I have to imagine they have tried just about every control scheme. So I assume whatever scheme the game releases with is probably best for the game.
Updated news from the ngmoco website: They're close... Posted on: 9/25/2009 Thanks for your continued patience as we polish these gems [sic Touch Pets & Eliminate] to perfection. ngmofos And in their forum, Miss Irwin said to look for more information in the next two weeks and thanks the ngmoco fans for their continued support.
Again, it isn't done yet. You don't want to buy an unfinished product, and they don't want to ship one
So we waited for the countdown to nothing but new information, Gosh this not the new halo or metalgear! This a a freaking iphone game for cripes sake! Sorry i just hate it when they market it this way!
It's called building publicity. They're trying to generate hype for the game by trickling out a steady stream of information.
This is not an effective marketing for me, i was excited for this game but this sort of marketing trickery is alienating me instead of exciting me! I don't want to be tricked into believing that the final countdown is the release date!
It's better than receiving no information about the game, which would make you completely forget about the game. Take Vampire Origins for example. I was excited about the game when it was first announced, but since then, I have forgotten about it, and have no intentions for buying it.
Ngmoco needs to be carefull not to delay to much time or else Gameloft will take some of there potential customers with NOVA.
Tha is a legitimate way to feel about it. Personally, I actually agree with you that this strategy is more harmful than beneficial. I haven't seen the data though - they may have stats to show that it works. Also, I think that they announced this game too early, but it is hard to turn down an invitation to an Apple conference.
