Official Car Jack Streets preview thread

Payback is a mini-version of a 3D GTA game (like GTA3).

Car Jack Streets is a 2D GTA game like GTA 1 & 2, made by the guys that made GTA 1 & 2.

 

I'll have to ask! The score is yet really a secret to me but I was told he was number one as of either last night or this morning. I'll have to get my fingers a bit better placed to make some better moves. I'm just not as good an arcader as many others are!

 

Please, pretty please do not make it mandatory, let people select his/her language! I'm from germany but like to play in english!

 

If I'm not mistaken, isn't this something people get banned for?

Y'know...I forgot to ask this question, Paul, so I'll do so right now:

Does the game have a screen orientation toggle option? As the iPod touch and iPhone have their headphone ports in different places it's become apparent to all that a screen toggle option is a must for games that are played in landscape.

 

Some people didn't know it was sarcasm. So, yes it could be a reason for an infraction.

Yeah orientation for iphone vs touch users is something that is surprisingly overlooked all too often.

Is it hard to implement?

I am wondering why apple don't require it as a standard if not.

Also... didn't realise it was from the original devs as GTA 1 and 2. Loved them back in the day.

Now i really can't wait.

 

The screen flip dealie is soooooooooo appreciated. I'm always rather miffed when the pad of my right index finger inadventantly covers the speakers and this avoids it beautifuly

As an english-speaking German I'd really like to chose in which language the game is played in, without switching my whole device to english.

(I already did that.. somehow it changes the layout of letters "áäüúùÜ.." etc. Inconvenient)

 

As far as the adjustable orientation, can you include in an update the ability to lock the orientation. I know some of us like to play games in bed or laying down.

Also, will game progress be wiped with any of the updates?

 

Good question about game progress. I hope that isn't the case, but it may be. hmmmmm....
