You'll still save up 1 cent, maybe you can buy yourself a rubber band if you put interest on that per annum :p

    Ah, marketing.

Actually, there's a 6% sales tax in the U.S. in case you didn't know...which means you can't buy it if you save up $5...

I didn't set the amount of years you'd have to save to be able to pay that extra tax amount, lol. Don't worry, over here in Australia we get taxed 10%. But it's probably nearly the same amount considering the differences in foreign exchange..

Well just so you know there's really no way to save just 5. Like if you get an iTunes card you can get only 15 as the lowest, which is what i get usually

I guess you can save money if you use you credit card but if you have less than $5 in there you should worry about something else lol

    :)

Minimum wage is 12.50 an hour, so if they are paying you five bucks, it sounds like you could have a lawsuit on your hands :)
Ha! Who the hell lives in some state where they tax you on itunes?

Oh people, please get educated before you speak. The sales tax on iTunes applies to less than half of the states in the US, and the only ones that appear to have it are the lesser known ones.

Ha! You have to pay for tax? Sorry, the only list that i found had things like North and South Dakota, Montana, all the central states.

Man, take your own advice...I'm not sure what you mean by "lesser known" states, but I live in Michigan (you know, the one with the 5 great lakes, and 2 peninsulas; you probably haven't heard of it), and I have to pay the full tax.

Once again, take your own advice. The federal minimum wage is $6.55 an hour (just a little more than half of what you said). It might be higher in some states, but no where near $12.50...

I've never worked at McDonalds, I'm just saying.. Minimum wage here is a little less than $10, which means around $8.50 of your USD. Lucky you.

    Updated.

Still bleeting on about money. Yada yada blah blah blah. Seriously it's a pain coming back to this thread for updates and having to sift through page after page of blabberings on tax and what not.

Tag are based in the UK so Paul wouldn't automatically think about you Yanks having to add on tax to your $4.99 when he mentioned saving 5 bucks for CJS.

Christ, talk about the game or something else. Just not money quibbling please.

Hmmm, it appears it is. I guess the minimum wage that I looked up had something to do with another country :)

And anyways, why are you all complaining about having to pay the extra 20 cents or so? Yes Paul said under 5 bucks, so what if it is over by twenty cents? And dont say "ohh, well I only have 5 bucks in my account," then go out and get another card.
