The Vita version chugged and visually it was comparable to the default settings on my iPhone 5. And you can aim while shooting by tilting, which works pretty well for me. Frankly, I find it easier to control the game on my iPhone than on the Vita, but I'm in the minority who kind of hate the Vita's dual sticks, which have never felt right to me, particularly for FPSs.
I guess that depends on whether you're in the mood for a tactics style RPG with a heavy story or a trippy sci-fi adventure. Apples and oranges, really.
Anybody tried playing this with MFi and couldn't get it to work? I know my MOGA is quickly becoming obsolete, but I figured it would work. I tried the 3 different settings and still couldn't get anything but the start button to work. I flipped over to another game and used my pad no problem, so it's something with this game...?
This game is so good. I thought the first town you play in was nicely done, but I've just arrived in the dusty town and it is amazing.
This is an awesome port. The graphics settings are just like for a PC game, everything can be changed from the resolution to the shadows. It's epic. On my iPad Air, I manage to get it smoothly running and still pretty good looking by turning the resolution down, but keeping everything else on the maximum.
I'm going to do a reset/quick charge on the controller and power down/up and see if that does the trick. The MOGA is finicky sometimes. Gotta upgrade soon, but darn it I'd love to play this "console style"! Touch works well enough, but I can't stand having the aim and fire on the right side. It makes FP shooting hit or miss.
I find it interesting how the lighting seems to be completely different compared to the Vita version from what I've seen. (I don't have an iOS device anymore, so I'm just judging based on screenshots and videos)
Nice (and well deserved) feature@TA! The ONLY thing i'm still not a great fan of is:the camera in 3rd person is a bit too far away for my taste (it was back in the days as well) but i'm really nit picking here.
Check out the options for Layout under Settings (gear icon) | Controls. You can choose lefty/righty and also move/resize all the buttons.
If you want the Vita look you can tweak the gamma under Settings (gear icon) | General | Gamma Modify. Just move all 3 sliders a little to the right equally.
Does the game use cloud? Can I start on my iPad and continue on my phone? First world problems I know!
