I'm so glad they put all the graphics settings in but my guess is we won't see this often on iOS because people just can't handle that.Probably never played a PC game, seeing it more like"but for what do i have all slider if i can't put them to MAX" I was also wrong, expected it to play buttersmooth with all maxed out on an Air 2 (hey,it's an 8 Core GPU that is 2,5x faster than the 4 core in Air 1) but lowering the resolution to almost half and shadows/special FX to"most/many"gives me what?A beautiful looking smooth running game (the only difference i noticed is really a very LITTLE aliasing and a whiff more blurry textures but i can't say for sure that the latter is not only my imagination because my brain expect them to be more blurry) Some people are dumb (or kids)and i've already seen some bad store reviews because they don't get it... Somebody already posted a similar screen but hell,is this game great looking. The screen doesn't really capture it,it's much more impressive in motion.
Exactly what I mean it's only getting bad reviews because of the uneducated crowd who feel like they should be running this game at native resolution. You wouldn't see the same happening with Xcom or bioshock because people take it in for granted, they're astonished they can even play the damn game after 20$,which is absurd. This is a fantastic port and if it feels like running of some emulator to some people then I would like to know what Nba 2k15,Xcom,bioshock,Mc5 feel like to them.Native resolution would mean running the game at 50% higher resolution than hd.
I don't understand what all the fuss is about with the resolution. The game still looks fantastic with the res slider just below 50% and a couple of the other effects toned down a bit. Some of you guy's expectations are way too high.
I've been playing with the resolution at maximum on my air 2 and every settings cranked up to max except shadows and Post FX to "most" and it's running perfectly fine. And thta's coming from a guy who hates it when games drop frames on my PC. I'm currently at the end of the second town so that's definitely more than playable.
Dito! I never finished it on xbox (not even half) because it was quite tough but it's much easier now that you can save everywhere.I'm happy that i can enjoy the (for me) last missing link in the chain of Oddworld games on my iPad now Abe,Abe,Abe! @Killercow:it's true that the difference (on Air 2) from half to full resolution are just a very little frames less. But also true that lowering the resolution makes just a little difference so i decided to go for a few frames more
The saddest part about that was seeing the sequel canceled. I think it was called Fangus. I don't know if we'll ever get a sequel of that caliber or even a new game in the series made by Lorne. I so want to see another game in this strange, whimsical universe.
Did already, best port I've played on pretty much any platform in a long time. You deserve it,please do port some more games. Also when I say price is a steal I'm not being cheap I would gladly pay 10$+ for these type of games,if that means more quality games for my device then more power to you guys.
I've got the resolution about a quarter up, effectively where it was at default and everything else set on max, except for shadows which I set on "Most". It runs like butter. Don't get hung up on how high you've got the resolution, it looks fantastic even on lowest setting.
Fixed and submitted update last Thursday. Still waiting for expedited Apple review for update to go live. Should be imminent. In meantime, save & reload game as workaround.
I've never played this on any platform before & I can only say. SIMPLY BRILLIANT I'm blown away. Controls are awesome. Gameplay....well it's spectacular. Audio is very cool (one small issue being worked on). This game is exactly why I love games & gaming. So glad to see this type of game & quality of game on iOS. Side note, I think the squirrel I saw on the way to work looked at me funny as passed him. I wonder if he knew what I was thinking
Left 5* in the Spanish App Store. I also explained that I play on a 4S and that after a bit of tampering with the gfx settings, I found the optimum settings for me. I hope this helps.
