'Only 10 hours' ? Thats quite a bit ! I'm disappointed when i pay $10 for a film at the cinema and its over in an hour and a half ! Seriously though i'm sure there'll be tons of side quests, try to complete it instantly and the game time will be shorter but we've seen the videos, it looks great, take your time with it once its out. I think a lot of iOS gamers are so spoilt, expecting games to be a dollar, updates for the next 50 years and 50 hours of gameplay for their 99c price
I know there are some Zelda-like iOS games out there, but to my knowledge, all of them are somewhat different as well - at least in one aspect of gameplay or what have you. What I'm saying is, I'm not sure any devs have tried to so faithfully duplicate the Zelda experience like this (I know, I'm assuming that this game will without having plaid it yet). What is considered the closest thing to Zelda on the AppStore so far? Across Age? Mage Gauntlet? Though not THAT similar, I actually got a Zelda vibe playing Lost Winds...
What does 15$ get you? A movie ticket. A pack of cigarettes. A sandwich. An amazing 10 hour journey/adventure game. My point is done here. Don't be cheap, 10-15$ for an amazing journey taking us into the past and resembling a game we love. (Zelda) hopefully taking us into the future as well.
I don't care about the price as I've purchased many games at $10 or more (Xcom, Warhammer Quest, Baldur's Gate among others). The game does look good. I'll keep an eye on it.
But 10 hours of gameplay is pretty impressive for a mobile game. I mean 10 hours? And still people arent happy.
And it is. 10 hours is plenty and probably even more if you consider first playthroughs. But yeah, really? "Only" 10 hours. Wow.
I think 10 hours are pretty good. Doesn't matter for me though, I'm going to take my time with Oceanhorn like I normally do with every IOS game.
Well i'm not even talking about minority or majority here but it's an iOS game! Where can you find 10 hours of gameplay in a game that is not endless/puzzle based on ios?I know we've got Xcom, Shadowrun and Warhammer but still... All I'm saying is it must be hard for you to buy any game on a mobile device with that kind of criteria.
I'm not really a huge fan of action adventures (I'm more into turned-based), but as I've followed this game I have become very interested. I'm not saying I'm not going to buy it, but I guess I'm on the fence now. When it comes out I'll make a decision.
It actually days 10 PLUS hours. A dollar an hours or maybe even 1.50$ for an hour entertainment... where do you get that else? 10 hours should be the minimum time required if you know it all and run through, like in other games. In the end, all those speculations lead to nothing but confusion. Let's wait and see.
Btw., you guys follow Eli on Twitter? He mentioned 2 big releases but they aren't allowed to write about. Maybe this is one of them.
I thought the developers said oceanhorn wasn't coming out on the 7th when they gave a hint about the release date.
Isn't Tiny Death Star one of them? It's not on TA's front page list of games coming out tonight, but other sites have reported that it is getting a general release tonight.
Guys, could you explain where we are getting the idea that this app is $15 from? The app has been confirmed to be less than $15. That does not mean it's $14.99, it could be $9.99 or $6.99 I would happily pay around $15 for this, but it's not been confirmed to be that...I'm just saying, don't count your chickens before they hatch
This thread is full of misinformation for some reason. That post in question seems to be deleted, and the webpage it referenced, has no mention of price. I'm thinking once again, it is misinformation.
