i'm psyched! oceanhorn was one of my favorite ios experiences, so more of it can only be a good thing in my book :3
You should get this anyway. It's a brilliant ios game. This fishing will be a nice add on but I wouldn't call it a major selling point
What about if fishing leads on to bigger and better things? That might just be the trigger to new adventures??? GaZ
GaZ, this is essentially Oceanhorn 2, version 2.0 of the app. It won't be a new game, but it will have new features and things to do in with the update. Expect it to be a DlC update. I don't know if there will be an Oceanhorn 2, but I'm counting this as Oceanhorn 2.
If all they're adding is fishing, I'm not that excited. Just seems like a mini-game to play on the side. I'd rather there be new enemies, weapons, even some puzzles rather than the option to fish.
Lol this is defffffffinately notttt Oceanhorn 2. This is justs a huge download. Oceanhorn 2 will obviously have a whole new story line to it, or atleast continue the first story.
It's just a big generous update. I'm sure at some point they'll do Oceanhorn 3 but I wouldn't confuse matters by saying an update is the sequel
Just buy it before the update and it will be free. # I stopped playing this at the grand core when I heard about this update just so I can play longer. I can't wait until the announcement for oceanhorn 2 # but I'll be patient about that.
Just fishing? I thought we get a chance to search for and fight the 3rd living fortress, Everturso iirc Since Sealork's remains have been seen, hence dead, and Oceanhorn also defeated hence also dead, only Everturso is left with no clue/proof of what happened to it
Well if all the content is released too soon, Oceanhorn will have a shorter life span than it can. You'll have a reason to keep playing
This makes no sense. While episodic releases do work well for some indie devs since they can't afford to dedicate the time and resources to finish their projects in one shot, you should never be forced to wait for content to complete the main story of a game. Updates that introduce side-missions and optional quests outside of the main story are fine, but games should not be reliant on their updates to the extent that they are on the appstore now. The game's lifespan should not be artificially lengthened by introducing the main story content piece by piece. Gamers should be free to play it at their own pace. I guess the only exception to this would be telltale and the story-based games they put out, but since they are added to frequently and regularly its not a big deal.
3 month gaps between less than two hour episodes? I don't think so. --- Can't wait to see 2.0 up and running~
I'm not saying that I personally like that sort of thing, although it's very cost effective and gives the developers more time to work on their game and to make sure bugs and glitches are nonexistent. More ideas may come along the way, so now with the evolution of the internet and games, those can be implemented in the game instead of into a sequel like many companies did back then. With some titles, extra time doesnt help anyway.
Oceanhorn is one of the best iOS games available, bar none. The only possible negative thing about this is that often "Game of the Year" editions signify the end of continued updates. It would be sad if this update is the last new content Oceanhorn ever receives... ...Unless, of course, Oceanhorn 2 is in development
Go back to the very first video of Zelda for Wii U. They have had that art style since the beginning.
Just to be sure before I make my purchase. The update will not be free for those who purchase the game after the update is released?
