I started a completely new game before i posted here, just t be sure. It's definitely under 30fps and it should be 60.That's what i had on the mini Retina and there's no (hardware) reason the Air 2 can't achieve that. Besides this and some other small flaws (due to ios8 still not running on its optimum) my Air 2 really flies,so i can exclude a hardware fault.
The game most probably doesn't detect the device and uses a low graphics setting to ensure good performance. That's all.
Yeah, that it's the important thing, better grapchics, and 60fps,FDG as always take care on new devices, update after update,it's a garrancy
Possible, yes.Anyway, the developer said (in the comments under the article) he's testing the new update on an Air 2 and it looks and plays beautiful so i just have to wait a little more until i start again.
Goodness. Hard to realize the game has been out a year (couple days...). Has to be one of the best, if not THE best, iOS games out there. Looking forward to seeing the upgrades in the update.
Oceanhorn Anniversary Update and Competition Can you believe it, Oceanhorn was released a year ago! Oh how the time flies, when you're having a good time - and what a time it has been! We have so far released five updates for Oceanhorn, each of them polishing the game, expanding features or even adding hefty amount of gameplay hours in a form of "Island of Whispers" adventure, but wait - there is more to come! ** Oceanhorn 2.5 Update 11th of December ** Apple has released a new set of amazing devices and we want to keep Oceanhorn up to date. We have worked hard this autumn to make sure Oceanhorn meets the expectations of those who have the new devices. New iPhone 6, 6+ and iPad Air 2 owners are able to enjoy Oceanhorn with 4x more polygons, new lightning effects (normal maps, ambient occlusion), tweaked character art and tweaked 60 fps performance! ** Oceanhorn 1st Anniversary Competition ** To celebrate Oceanhorn's 1st anniversary, we are going to set up a competition! The competition starts 11th of December and will last until the end of the year. Details of the competition including rules and the prize will be revealed when the update is released! We have enjoyed following your reviews, opinions and walkthroughs of Oceanhorn. Thank you for sharing your Oceanhorn experiences in forums and in reviews. We have been able to improve the game all around and provide better adventure for everyone! We are happy that our love towards the game shines through in your experiences. There is so much more we would like to tell you, but it is not the right time just yet. Stay tuned for more Oceanhorn news in the future!
Is there any way you might eventually add Manual Saves anywhere? Every time I exit the game or go back to the title screen and then load my last save, it takes me back to the last checkpoint WITH the amount of coins/gems I had when I reached that checkpoint and NOT how many I had when I exited the game. That means it's not saving anywhere for me. It's only saving at checkpoints, and if I don't reach one before I exit, I lose my progress. Does anyone else experience this?! This is how it's always worked for me.
Hi! The game not only save at every checkpoint, but also in every transition between levels. Every time you see the "fade to black" your game is saved.
Ah... That'll change my whole gameplay experience! Thanks for explaining that. Now I won't go looking for another checkpoint before I exit out. Can't wait to dive back in now! Cheers.
So, i should wait until dec 11 to get the game? I just got the 6 +. Is there a reason i should start playing now, or jyst wait til the updated version comes out?
Yep,there's a lot of content here but If you want to play it with all it's effects then I would say wait for it.It's one of those games which are best experienced first time definitely. So yeah wait if you can and play it once the update hits. P.S I read the comments in the article about metal update and the devs said that 5s owners are in for a surprise, Are they getting metal update too?
