Wow. That got a mixed response. My point was that I don't mind getting lost in games sometimes. I exaggerated the sentiments of several posts by different people for comic effect to make that point. I thought it'd make a change from reading through page after page of people asking if a device is supported when it's already been answered. It wasn't a personal attack as awp69 seems to think, or as andsoitgoes seems to have launched. Never mind. Can anyone confirm if iPhone 3GS is supported?
The devs should consider support for my Commodore 64 first A miniature black hole will erupt out of your iDevice and destroy everything within a 5 mile radius of it Have fun When you're done, could you teach me? None of the cool kids want to show me I think that's going to be put into the forum software after the '8' button 8! If you get the gem pack, I'll brutally murder you...actually, I won't, I'll just send you an insulting letter about your mother
Just played OceanHorn for about 25 minutes and i'm throughly impressed with it so far. Graphics are gorgeous. Water looks fantastic as well as the environments and characters. It's definitely a knock off of Zelda Wind Waker but with a different feel. I immediately felt like I was sitting in front of my Gamecube all over again in high school. I definitely understand why they waited so long to release it. This release makes me realize just how impressive gaming is becoming on smart phones. Not that it wasn't before, but when you have the quality of a game experience like this come out, it just solidifies it's place in the competition. I only have one gripe and its the controls. Moving your character around can be kind of frustrating. I would try to move him slowly or go left or right and I would fall down to a different area on the first island. It doesn't ruin the experience, but I wish it was a little smoother. Definitely pick this up for $9. Its a steal compared to what you pay on consoles. Also pick it up because the developers should know just how great the game is and that they should begin working on a sequel. It is a shame that Android users won't get to play this. I haven't see news that this is coming to Android.
Looks like a great week for releases, but without a doubt, I am most excited for Oceanhorn! Ahhhhh, going to stay up for releases tonight!
It may have been a joke but it certainly seemed pointed at those of us who were asking things about the same subject. And not favorably. Let bygones be bygones. I just want people to feel like it's ok to ask questions without fearing reprocussions from others that think those questions are stupid. Sorry if I took it the wrong way.
And gamers are the ones who play Clash Of Clans, while grandmas blow their ocean horns. Now being serious though, does the game have any sort of multiplayer or online aspect to it?
when you send them on a single wall segment upgrade, hehe. .... where is the game? mannn... waiting, waiting.. as a german publisher whe should have gotten it a month earlier ... still waiting.. my most anticipated game by faar.
Right - spoilers because this is quite far into the game. Mostly, I'm stuck and hoping to get a nudge in the right direction. Spoiler I am actually beyond frustrated. More and more I'm hit on the nose with little gap platforms that I need to be able to jump, but I can't. I've just been to Gillfolk's Drop, gone into the palace. Saw the note at the start, went and got the fire spell, came back to the palace and went through it. So now I have the fire and ice spells, but I have no clue where to go. The hints seem to be pointing back to the "palace", but I don't think there's anything else to do there... I'm just stuck and incredibly frustrated. Where do I go? Where do I get the stupid Trencher boots!? Edit: Wow. Nevermind. Forgot about the right place...
The problem with this game is that it is too compelling and entertaining, which means it is far too easy to get drawn into playing for long sessions and lose track of time. I think I speak for everyone when I say that what we want and need is some kind of "timer" or "energy" gating mechanic introduced to help throttle a player's progression, and allow them to pace themselves. Yup. And now we play the waiting game... >_>
top grossing ios game is dead, yeah right.. anyway.. horn, hoooorn, hoooooooorn.. (mirja boes style)... hoooooornnnnnnn ... crap still not there.. how on earth are people 10 hours into the game already and starting to post stuff behind spoilertags ;( jealouse!!
Ugh, I'll probably be awake long enough just to hit the purchase button. Going to be a long day at work tomorrow.
I'm jealous too still not out here in the UK but soon hopefully! By my comment I mean that Boom Beach is the new Supercell CoC so I'm sure it'll do just as well, personally I like it better.
