And what would be the purpose of that fishing?

Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying the game, but I certainly could've used a bit more tutorial in the beginning. Things it took me a while to figure out:

    - that you could hide the bombs you're carrying by using the "items" button to swap between shield/bombs/etc. Prior to that, I kept accidentally hitting the bomb button while trying to move and wasting all my bombs.

    - it took me a while to figure out how to throw things, and that I should be smashing all/most of the jars and hacking away at the bushes.

    - It took me forever to figure out that in order to actually push crates you don't just press the big orange ^ button, but you also have to slide your finger in order to move! I kept pressing and pressing and nothing every happened.

    - It can be quite a challenge to move with one finger and battle with another, and don't get me started on trying to walk across teeny weenie bridges! My adventurer is a total klutz. I think I should get the "walking wounded" award sometime soon, if that existed in-game. ;)

When you battled Turmos in Great Forest were there those tiny flying things which could be killed ? I've read about them but they've never appeared in my game. Those things are probably the last enemy I would have needed for the "Encyclopedia Monstrum" Achievement. I even started a new game, but still the same. Guess I have to delete the app and re-install it or wait for an update. :(

    Do you mean this enemy?

It's a problem to delete and re-install the app? You can save your game score with iTunes File Sharing:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4094?viewlocale=en_US. You can also describe your problem to the support.

Thank you for this! There was no way I was going to beat Turmos the usual way,
"kill the four tentacles (fairly easy), then fire arrows into his great sucking mouth (or chuck bombs inside) while staying out of it yourself.” Not so easy as it sounds! Certainly not so easy when you’re as inept at this as I am! I shot myself with arrows far more time than I actually hit anything worthwhile, and if I attempted to chuck a bomb somewhere inevitably I’d be caught in the blast too
    .

So I was very, very happy to realize that he could be taken down by
whittling away at him, bit by bit
. After an hour and a half of
    slowly whittling away
he finally got weak enough and died and I won. I was disappointed I didn’t get an achievement for that.
“Death by 1000 paper cuts” or something similar.

When I told my husband about my accomplishment and explained how that’s the only way I could do it because I was so inept, he told me that it wasn’t ineptitude–I was hardcore! None of this
"cheating" using bombs or arrows to cause massive damage
. No sir, not for me! I faced the Boss and took him down with, yes,
    “That’s not a sword, it’s a letter opener!”
    :)

    Potential Bug

I seem to be stuck because I moved the blocks in such a way that I can't get to the blue reset button in the cavern of fire. Please help! Picture attached.

Yes, exactly. I thought these things only appeared during the Boss battle with Turmos. I didn't know they are also in the outside area. But during my game they never appeared! Thanks for posting the Picture @Momoma!

There is a way to get to that blue button.

Or use the first skill that you've got to hit that reset button.

So I have a question. After you save the tree guy on the tree island what do you do? I can't figure it out. I'm sure it's obvious but I'm notoriously terrible at this kind of thing.

I still haven't gotten around buying Oceanhorn, because I am not really a fan of the genre. So 8.99 is a bit too steep for me in this case.
On the other hand, I'd like to see what all the exitement is about.

I was hoping for a Christmas-Sale, maybe 4.99 or something, but with the Appstore Lockdown in process, is it even possible to go on sale for the holidays anymore?

  16. I don't think so.

Just beat the frozen princess boss, easily, I'm happy to say. Wow, there's a lot of content in this game! Yes, some of the criticisms are valid (rather repetitive scenery, nothing really worth buying at the store so collecting coins seems pointless, no real mapping, imprecise touch controls, uneven puzzles with an early boss being far more difficult than later ones, and a ridiculously tight timing puzzle that only hardcore gamers seem to be able to complete), but I am thoroughly enjoying the length and the story. Every time I think I'm finally finished, I find there's more to do.

Aaaaand hit a wall with that timing puzzle in the "showroom".
Don't see how to hit the windmill thing without jumping off the pillar, and that ruins the timing for me. Can't raise those last pillars on their own, via a spell, either, so don't see how I can get past this one! If anyone figure out how to do it with less than stellar precision (because I'm never going to have that), then I'd be grateful for some insight.
The touch controls aren't precise enough to allow me to solve it. I know what I have to do, but I can't get the timing for the life of my guy!
