Game Impressions I want to love this game. The music, the art, the feel is phenomenal and was almost instantly my favorite IOS game of all time. But... I have never been this frustrated with a game. I cannot seem to go more than an hour before hitting a game stopping design flaw and have had to delete and restart my game twice now. I have gotten stuck on/behind a crate requiring exiting the app and resetting the characters location. This was annoying but at least exiting fixed it. But on the Tikarel island I pushed a block off a ramp and then walked across the water to an area where I could not walk back. Had to start the game from scratch after spending a thirty minutes trying to get back across the water. I'm not the first to get stuck here. I eventually deleted my game and started over. Replayed everything up to that point. And again! In the Forest Shrine area I pushed a crate onto some spikes (to make a bridge) but fell in which pushed the block sideways across the spikes. The bridge is now lost forever and I cannot access the area at all. After three hours of trying to find a way across I'm ready to just toss the game completely rather than start over from the beginning AGAIN. Searching the web revealed other people stuck in similar ways but at differing locations. So there are several places this can happen. I have never played a game that has so many game stopping bugs. Bugs are fine but I can't recall ever having to start a game from scratch due to a one. And to have it happen twice, with others reporting similar experiences elsewhere is just insane. I am not going to sink hours into replaying everything just to encounter yet another path, switch, block or blunder which forces a full game reset. So I'm done with you Oceanhorn. Maybe in six months all of this will be fixed but right now I feel like I paid to debug a genuine minefield of sloppy level design.
I haven't had any issues though I can't seem to get 100% on some islands (Hermit island, tikeral, forest) literal searched everywhere. Bug?
Bomb island bridge glitch Hi, I've downloaded the game yesterday and played for an hour. After I had passed the colapsing bridge in bomb island I managed to die. When I came back to life the bridge is still broken and I can't seem to get over to the other side. Is this a known glitch? Do you have any date for the first update?
Thanks for the reply! I've seen alot of commenst about "glitches" (mostly crates) and so on, so I was afraid this was one of thoose.
Can somebody please make a list of all achievements and how to earn them? Currently I'm stuck on these: 1.) Old Enemy: Retire 100 Direfolk? (Where?) 2.) Unspawn: Kill 50 Spawn (Where?) 3.) Blast'em: Kill an enemy with a laser beam (How?) 4.) Hat Trick: Kill three enemies with a single sword blow (best place?) 5.) Still going: Smash 50 Skeletons to pieces (Where?) 6.) Train Wreck: Kill an enemy by pushing a crate (best place?) P.S.: Are there any hidden achievements?
Well I played this for as long as I found it fun. Must admit I don't see what all the fuss was about, it was ok but certainly nothing genre defining in my opinion. Of course this may be in part due to me not being at all bothered by Zelda of any form. An ok game, sure it'd be great if you're a Zelda fan. If you are unsure then honestly it is a gamble, I liked parts of the game (lack of hand holding for one) but found others quite repetitive or needing polish (environments being "sticky" and combat namely).
Another question: I everywhere see these round chain levers. Can you actually pull them or are they just "decoration" ?
Another question 2: Is there another shop besides the one in Tikarel ? Because I just reached over 1000 coins and bought that heart. I hope I spent it right or should i have saved the Money? Made a backup before the purchase, though
Shadow Mesmeroth I have a huge problem and a possible glitch. I'm trying to finish off Shadow Mesmeroth and I have him down to the TINIEST sliver of health left. Now, mind you, it took me two days playing, off and on, to get this close to killing him. I don't want to have to start the dungeon again so I've left the game on 'pause'. He's rapidly throwing fireballs at me and I have deflected hundreds back at him, a huge percentage of direct hits. He makes that sound he makes before splitting into three hearts, and he flinches but never breaks apart. He doesn't turn the machines on, either. I've tried hitting him with my sword (big mistake) and throwing pots at him. Any ideas?
Spoiler Rigger is in the top left corner of the map in a cage in the fort. I don't quite recall but I think if you kill the creatures there, go up to the left and then up, then above him somewhere there is something to do.
There are some glitches, but generally, everything above sounds like it would have been fixed by opening the menu, and clicking the Go To Titlescreen button. Maybe next time ask here before getting so frustrated.
Spoiler There is another shop, but no more hearts to buy. The heart was the only worthwhile purchase in the game, IMO. I had to get my Big Spender achievement by buying 8 honey pots, which are now lying around on the ground.
