Yup, and those glitches made it past an army of programmers and quality assurance people working and playing the games for probably a solid year or 2. Hey I hope the devs take his opinion to heart and fix a few of the issues he mentions. But none of them issues ruin the game for ME. And from what I have read, most of the rest of the people playing the game that have posted here and a few other places are not having their games ruined by those issues.
You guys are not making it any easier for me to decide whether to buy or not. Many complaints yet many accolades. Difficult decision. Don't want to waste $10.
That is good, you know. I wasn't trying to convince people that they shouldn't enjoy it; I just tried to explain why I couldn't go on playing the game. To me the combat and level design stopped me from enjoying it, and since it quacks like a duck otherwise, I'm just reminded of duck. What is wrong with one voicing a different opinion from the majority? I was surprised that I didn't like it (since most others here seem to like it), and that's why I went here and shared my opinions and feedback.
Anyone have 100% on graveyard island yet? I see the 2 chests I need in order to get it on the map but I don't know how to get there. (On the map where you get the master key for the island)
In sky island, in the beginning of the cave, there's three switches on floor with three movable crates. Putting the three crates on the switches doesn't open the door. Tried some sequence in the switches doesn't work out. Did I miss something here?
It's the nickname I first made up when I logged onto some irc server about 13 years ago. It's supposed to read "dying dragon" in Tolkien elvish, but I'm pretty sure I am miles off the mark with my understanding of that language I've just stuck with it because it's never taken.
Where is the Spoiler special attack at? The forest? I've played through gilfolks drop and am running around trying to 100% islands but can't seem to find it.
Finished! I don't post much on here, mainly just read the headlines and game reviews, but thought I'd post up about this game. I play quite a bit of iOS gaming, as I enjoy it as a great alternative to traditional console games, and there is no doubt that this one stand above the others in a market flooded with junk and money making schemes. In my opinion it's truly an amazing piece of work for any platform. I love it, and will continue playing for that 100% completion. The story is good, the gameplay is great, and I believe it will stand for quite some time as a superb example of iOS gaming. I haven't been this involved in a game since GOF2. There are lots of great reasons to buy this game today, and enjoy it for a long time. Does it have it's faults? Sure, but what game doesn't? Are any of them deal breakers? Obviously not-I finished the game just fine. I feel like it is very polished, and could contend with a number of big name console games out there had it been released on one of those other platforms. Speaking of, to give the game a bad review because it is a Zelda clone - absurd. I LOVE the Zelda games and have played every one minus the newer gameboy ones. And on that note, none of those were perfect either. Somehow, with all the resources Nintendo has, they still put out games that had glitches. To the Developers: WONDERFUL JOB! Take pride in this product, as it is a wonderful achievement that many people will enjoy for a long time. You have all done great, and I hope you make a ton of money from this release so you may continue to produce high quality gaming for this platform.
Don't know if its worth it but I bought out of curiosity anyway. Will get around to playing it later.
As fun as this game is, I'm having issues with the story pace, quite a few things spring out of nowhere and there are steps missing in between. Gillfolk's Drop and the item delivery. The girl and her father and Humming Hill bit, which came out of left field with no build up that I could see. Then there are the controls, incredibly frustrating and sloppy. It's fun when it works right, but you have to get used to it.
