http://forums.toucharcade.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=65776&d=1384705441 EDIT: Do in order: Spoiler Top right box in place, Bottom middle box (push over top right box), Bottom left box (go all the way around to do that), Top middle box (push over previous box).
Every suggestion you gave screws the Zelda feeling intended. - Those magical items make no sense with the current gameplay and level design. People already complain about the difficulty in perceive the ground height to know if it's possible to jump or not. - Skill tree? For what? Again that makes no sense and does not fit into the gameplay. Just throwing stuff you're used to see in other games doesn't makes something good. To create a good product you must know when you say no, otherwise you become like Microsoft... - Fine, the spell animations could be better. But an attack version? Can't you already cast on enemies? The mana is already pretty limited, you can cast like 2 or 3 spells, what good it would make using the whole bar? - Link (on Zelda) has no personality, or even voice, because *you* are playing him. He does not have either personality qualities nor faults. He is just him. The same as the hero in this game. You are just him, doing the stuff that must be done. This personality thing, like the other suggestions, don't fit in the traditional Zelda-esque gameplay at all.
Stuck I destroyed the first crate on riptide reef and it wont spawn back even if I go somewhere else and back. I need this crate to close the gap to cross the bridge. Is there a fix for this or a way around it ?
You need a special item to progress over gaps in riptide reef. Spoiler You can't do riptide reef until you've completed gillfolks drop and get the boots
You can swim back. If you're not getting it, try starting in a slightly different position. I've made the swim countless times but, admittedly, it's a close one.
Just a tip with the swimming to those who have beaten gillfolks drop- Spoiler although jumping, rolling, swimming, and using the special attack all use stamina, you can get a little bit further by rolling into the water, and swimming the rest of the way. Makes the gap mentioned above a breeze if you roll off the square rock.
Having an issue with a puzzle on Sky Island: Spoiler In the room with 6 movable blocks on one side, 2 fire statues in the middle, and a laser eye. There's a core door and a metal gate. I can use the blocks to get around the fire statues, and feel like I need to use the laser to somehow open the gate, but what do I need to do?
Spoiler How do I do that? When I use my shield it hurts me. Is there a new item on Sky Island I need? edit: nm forgot about the other side of the walkway. I'll go check that out.
You need to go the other way. Go back to where the lock was and try the other path up on the left side. You might just need an item to clear the way...
The dev confirmed issue and provided a solution. To reset cave level, exit cave, shut down game completely. Hook up to iTunes. Under your device, go to Apps, shared files. Choose Oceanhorn then delete data files for s1-9-1-caves-state.dat (s1 is slot one). I also deleted the backup files. Sync device, then start game. Level should be reset. By the way, the dev in Germany answers back within a couple hours. Very impressive.
Completely stuck on riptide reef after getting the sword. I don't have the boots and cannot find a way out of the area. Should be able to walk on the area where you blew up crates but can't. Loved the game until this point. Tried dying, everything just keep getting put back in the area where the sword was. Update: please ignore, there is an easy way out
