Button mashing on some (i'd wager most, apart from the first few enemy types) of the enemies, such as skeletons and ogres wouldn't work well as they do BLOCK your attacks. Elevation wise you can only drop down to one level below you. It's fairly confusing at first though I learned about that after sinking past the first few hours. It also remains consistent throughout the whole game. IMHO put a few more hours into the game and you might find yourself into a better treat. Surely those few minor flaws won't distract you from enjoying the big picture, right?
It's a great game, based on a great game series. Not perfect by any means, but well worth playing if you like 3rd person action adventures. (That's probably the last ten pages of discussion summed up in one sentence.)
Need assistance at ice fortress Do not know how to spoiler text on phone; but hope question is vague enough Instead of going thru door by entrance I went down stairs. Now I cannot find another key. Would someone be kind enough to supply a hint? Also how do i do snippet text while on iPhone? Thank you Long time reader who enjoyed the forums but who never posted before.
Waited so long for this game. And I am not disppointed. Frame rate is a bit low on iPad mini after each cutscene. The controls are not perfect but ok. Looking forward to all the exploration.
They block you (even goblins and skeletons do), but there's no indication beforehand; they just randomly and instantly block your attacks. Which means there isn't strategy involved, just hoping for the best and blocking randomly yourself. Elevation isn't entirely like that, though. Judging elevation is hit and miss because sometimes one level is a bit higher than elsewhere, and you can't go down. From some plankways you can drop down the side from one level, other places not. I'll see if I can find examples of this if I return to it. But these aren't a few minor flaws; it's what the game is built around. If the level design in even the start of the game (the honeymoon) is uninspire and sloppy, then I don't feel like "sticking with it" to see if the latter isn't. Same goes for combat; if the first enemies that block do it instantly but also attack instantly, in a completely randomly timed fashion, then that doesn't bode well for future encounters. However, I might stick with it to write up a proper review. But as a game it just isn't very good, and the gameplay was too lacking to keep me playing. It very much lacks polish and refinement in that area.
Any way to proceed over the gap in Riptide Reef, im case you accidently blown up the box? Hope this does not mean I'm stuck. Will it require the jump ability? Any help apprechiated!
Spoiler You need to go to Cavern of Fire to get the Fire Spell. First push left and then right crate, then push middle crate to left or right.
I would take it the other way though: If they do randomly block my attack then button-mashing obviously wouldn't work... so should I try some magic instead? Or just grab the nearby pot and throw it? I'm not sure but I do think that the random blocks are intentional by design. A pretty good excuse to utilise those magics and whatnots other than plain ol-sword From my experience the dimension of that cubic "one level" stays consistent throughout the game. It could be that it's twice that "one level" height therefore the game wouldn't allow you to go down from there.
I think you're wasting your time with this one. He's spent a lot of time and used a lot of words to get his points across, and done so at every possible opportunity. Some people don't want to like the game and no amount of clear thinking, logic or sound reasoning will change their minds. I'm all for being critical of a subpar product. This is not that. This guy clearly has an agenda.
What do I do with the honey? I just unlocked gilfolks drop and southwibd isle where I got the honey. I can't get past a big gap in gilfolks drop so I figure I need to so something with te honey.
Crashing Is anybody else having problems with the game crashing? I played for about 30-40 minutes with no problem, and now it crashes as soon as I load my game. Tried starting a new game too & it dies instantly. Not sure what happened but I'm going to reinstall the game and start over. -- playing on an ipad 2 with about 3 gigs of free space left currently.-- Still love the game but hoping this issue doesn't come back again. Curious if I'm alone in this experience.
Honey man Poss spoilers and don't know how to do spoiler tag. How do I arrange he boxes to save the honeyman
Not seeing all of that. Just looking at it I feel the hero and world has just no personnality. Doesn't makes me want to share any adventure with the hero. But yeah, enjoy your game
Spoiler gillfolks drop there is a gatekeeper in the center of the island who wants your honey to let you through. Carry the pot to the ship with you then sail to gillfolks and walk up to the gatekeeper. This will trigger him to let you through. If you loose your honey, you can buy more at the store.
If you're just looking at it and not playing it then there's no way you can have a relevant opinion on the game. And to your earlier comment- So your taking a single bad review out of a dozen good ones to confirm your opinion? So annoying- if you obviously don't want to like the game even though many others do, then why bother posting here? Just to be contrary? Hope that makes you feel great.
