Based on my experience so far - there's no variability in the story, once you've played it through, that'll be it. Having said that - the whole way through you're free to explore at will and do whatever you want in any order, so how you get there is entirely up to you. As far as I know Zelda has no variability and people replay it many times because they enjoy what is there already.
Really interested in this, but actual real Zelda is out for 3DS next week...don't wanna burn out. Ah, who am I kidding. Instabuy. That said, the combat looks kinda dull...
I've never played a Zelda type game before, but I am certainly impressed after seeing this gameplay video. Along with the fact that the file size is extremely reasonable, and that it appears to be IAP free, I think that I will be hitting the buy button tomorrow AM.
^This.^ Another new-ish concept from the iOS marketplace... replayability. I cannot even contemplate how many times I've replayed certain console games... DBC
I dunno. I posted before watching the TA plays video but after watching the while thing with that one fight it's kinda soured me on it. Obviously I have no idea if that's representative of the entire game or not, but it's the kind of thing you'd never find in a Zelda game, and it's always disappointing to find an iOS game that's clearly inspired by a bigger franchise, but never really reaches the same level of quality. As a long-time Zelda fan I'm prepared to lower my expectations for this somewhat - it's priced lower and by a much smaller developer. However, I hope it's good enough to stand on its own as a great game, rather than just the novelty of being an alternative to a much more famous game that iOS will probably never see.
As a developer, I don't know why Eli was having such a hard time with that mini boss! - maybe because he was doing the let's play at the same time! There's many tactics to approach this mini boss, I'm sure as a zelda fan it would be natural for you to try out different things when you're stuck.
Any word on whether or not the soundtrack will get released as a standalone thing? Considering who composed it, I have the feeling I'll want to be able to just listen to it by itself from time to time.
Whelp. Every single big release tonight does not run on 4th gen. Well this may be the time for an upgrade... Man this stinks
Oceanhorn runs on iPod 4th gen, we've completed a playthrough on this device. Its not in the "recommended" list because the low RAM makes it lose some feathers like graphics fidelity and less audio. Also you should close any background tasks.
OMG so many games so little time and so many hrs till 11pm I want it now!!! I will need a week off work to play all these great releases tonight lol Why ohh why cant they do the big releases on Friday night so I can go home and play all wknd lol
