So I'm completely stuck after wandering for about an hour. I don't know how to use solo ulcer tags on mobile so forgive me. I'm in the great forest and I just got the bow. I can't seem to find what to do next. I found the stone that said something about the common hall or something. What do I do!!
I got stuck here for a bit as well, until I had a brainwave: Spoiler the ground looks really dodgy and wrecked, use a bomb to make a hole.
Turmos Wow, is anyone else finding Turmos ridiculously hard? I've had 42 trips into his lair and can't get more than 1.5 rounds with him. The asparagus stalks keep regenerating. I can't aim the bow accurately enough to hit him. I can get a bomb down his mouth but he eats me anyway. I'm pretty frustrated, so if anyone has any pointers, they would be gratefully received. Does leveling up make you any stronger? What exactly is gained by leveling up? I'm currently at Explorer level. I'm so accustomed to playing with HP/MP, skill points, grinding to get more powerful, etc. that I'm at a loss as to what's useful in Oceanhorn. Beautiful game, and I sure would like to get further in it.
I know I will regret making this post in future, but I hate to see people arguing on the forum. It is human nature to try and be better than others, even if that means being extremely stubborn and mean. Your opinions might be different, but there is no right and wrong ultimately- your opinion is the right answer to you, someone else's opinion might be the wrong answer for you. That's life. Other people can and will think differently to you so there is no reason to argue. From what I have seen, there is a team of about 4 people on this forum stubbornly telling people that the game has major flaws, and is a bad homage to zelda games. There is also another team being equally stubborn saying the game is perfect. You're both right. This game DOES have flaws, and isn't perfect. It isn't as good as zelda games. We get it. The game may be very much inspired by zelda games, so it can be easy to compare and criticize. However, this game is NOT a zelda game, if it was it would have been called 'The Legend of Zelda: Uncharted Seas', but it is not. Some people just need to wrap their head around the fact that this game is different to zelda games. On the other side, (trying to have a neutral point of view here, just sayin') this game what the title says- it is Oceanhorn. Therefore, Oceanhorn does what Oceanhorn wants. If Oceanhorn has little red stones that take 20 hits to collect, who is to say that is a flaw and ruins the game? As I stated above, Oceanhorn is not a zelda game, and therefore doesn't have to have every aspect of a zelda game in it. There is no perfect iOS game. The device might not crash for you, but someone might be having those problems. I find it very hard to believe you could name a perfect iOS game. I expect some of you are thinking 'infinity blade!' or 'angry birds!', but the fact remains that not everyone thinks they are flawless, and therefore cannot be labeled 'perfect'. I have played games labeled 'perfect' before, and believe me- they are not. I have had crashes on infinity blade, I have experienced bugs on angry birds, so don't go saying something is perfect, when in reality, NOTHING is perfect. Perfect doesn't exist. We may all aspire to be perfect, but ultimately, that is why 'perfect' exists, so that we may keep improving ourselves infinitely if we so choose. It is easier to criticize than praise. If angry birds made an update with 10 new 'perfect' levels, nobody would complain, and a handful would praise. If angry birds made an update with 10 new levels that had some bugs in them, a handful would praise, and hundreds would light their torches and sharpen their pitchforks. On a last note, Nintendo has not made a title on iOS for good reasons. One of which is that it is TOO HARD. The amount of people that would celebrate is uncountable, but the amount of people that would whine and complain about issues are also innumerable. Imagine you are in a dungeon, loving life, and then your game crashes- sending you back to the beginning of the dungeon. Imagine you are riding epona through the fields when all of a sudden your device runs out of battery and deletes your last 30 minutes of gameplay. Imagine you are close to finishing the game when a bug deletes your save file. If one of these things happened while playing a game that was made by such a praised and respectable company, I bet csi would be working overtime.
You can throw a bomb at the blocked entrance to the cave, which leads to the abandoned house. After that, I'm stuck as well. I tried to swim to the other beach of the island but was drowned by one step every time. Seriously? There are so many boats around and one of them mine! Why can't I cross the bay?
Spoiler you will come across a few targets, targets that say, one would see in an archery range....guess what you shoot them with?
Spoiler kill his 4 stalks with your sword or throwing pots, then when he opens his mouth just simultaneously run away from him while chucking bombs that will get sucked in and explode, dealing damage...after 3-4 hits he closes his ,maw and pops up his appendages again. Wash rinse repeat. . Annoying yes, but took me two tries, wasnt what I would call difficult compared to other bosses in other games (Dark Souls anyone?)
Spoiler You can make it there without the key as i swam there on my first visit to the island but i dont believe youre actually meant to get to Humming Hill until after you have retrieved the first stone and returned to The Hermit's Island and had another chit chat with the old man. I actually went and got the coral sword after this, and now doing the Humming Hill firework quest. It confused me too as i thought i was missing something with that hill, i see a locked door, i try to get past it. Well, i did that, like i said, but it kinda led me no where so i figured i would return later, and thats what happens. Argh for some reason the spoil tags are not working right on my ipad, sorry
Stuck in the Spoiler great core maintenance...don't know how to get past the laser puzzle after the two firebreathing statues. Also, how can the kid be so stupid to trust that creepy old dude with orange eyes in a black cloak? I mean C'MON!
Hey guys, sorry but I don't know how to use the spoiler tags, so if you haven't discovered the Southwind Isle don't read. Ok so after I found the guys papers or whatever, Hermit needs to study them, I went to the Southwind Isle and I'm stuck on the puzzle with the boxes and that guy on top if the hill thing, I know you have to stack them but I don't know how, a few pages back Kamizak has a screeny of where I'm at. PLEASE HELP
Spoiler you need to stack so you create a bridge to his position. Im trying to think of a way to describe this but really it should be obvious to you? You have to put two crates ontop of one another as you are trying to match elevations...the spot is to the bottom left of the guy
Push the crate off e ledge, and then get the other crate and oush it ontop of that crate, and then off that crate. Go to the top and push the other block(s) off to make a bridge. Spoiler the guy gives you honey. Dont throw it, have patience and take it to gilfolks drop.
