I agree that the dungeons, puzzles and such were interestingly designed and Zelda games as a whole are clearly a higher caliber than this. But the early Zelda games had some vast open areas where you could wonder for hours and not even run into an NPC or enemy. Those portions, I would counter, were not interesting to investigate. Frankly the bite sized islands in this game, I'm finding to be very well designed and, at least thus far, not boring at all to me at least. Always an enemy here, an NPC there, a dungeon or puzzle awaiting. There's little "filler" in this game IMO. That doesn't always mean you know exactly where to go, but it isn't so open world that you spend all your time just wondering about. Just my 2 cents. And NO I'm absolutely not saying this is better than Zelda. It isn't and I would have never expected to be. Just saying I feel there's actually less exploration in this game than there was in those games.
How to get past well, just passed the two fire statues and come to room with a locked door and three skeletons. Where is the key?
Just what I suspected... 'Oceanhorn' is a 'Zelda' game for your iPad, but not a very good one http://www.theverge.com/2013/11/15/5109004/oceanhorn-is-zelda-on-ipad-but-not-very-good Another 5* from TA well deserved ...
Gripes aside, for a measly 9 dollars, and imminent bug fixes/tweaks coming, this is still excellent value. Although it is only natural to draw comparisons to Zelda (hell that is why this game is enjoying such success so early) you really have to keep in mind respective price points Oh, and because no post of mine would be complete without a gripe (lol) Anyone else feel slightly ripped off when they jump through numerous hoops to reach a chest only to discover some arrows or bombs or a heart? Yeah, I couldn't get any of those items by slashing a blade of grass or smashing a pot or killing an enemy...i had to move silly blocks or hunt for a way to this chest and my reward is...nothing! Absolutely nothing! Fantastic.
While I didn't disagree with your initial set of complaints, I rather felt, and you're continuing to confirm it, that you have some sort of agenda here. I could have dredged up a similar list of objective criticisms for this, many Zelda games, and a number of other games that don't really warrant bashing. So, I'd recommend sticking to the constructive criticism before you devolve entirely into vague, arbitrary insults like cheap, unpolished and subpar.
Coral Saber I know I'm missing something simple, but I can't solve the first puzzle on riptide island to get the coral saber. I can't find a way to get the two statues together. Anyone know how to proceed? Any help would be really appreciated. I want that sword.
Spoiler you need to get the two statues to touch each other basically, face to face. There is a movable crate that you have to maneuver and drop down so it forms a bridge between the two platforms, push the statue onto the second row of the crates (close to the edge), blow up the crates so the statue falls, drop down behind the statue and push it across the rift and onto the platform with the unmovable statue. Then just push it into place so its touch face to face with the unmovable one.
Hi, I'm totally stuck on Tikarel. Where do I get the key that unlocks the door to Humming Hill? I've found a couple of chests that I just cannot get to. One I can see when I'm at the forest lookout, but I've thrown so many bombs at the edge, and nothing seems to blow up. The other one is on a little island in a cafe (that was blocked by an earthquake). Can someone help? Or am I on totally the wrong track? Thanks!
This is my only problem with this game is the chests you see on the first few islands (all I've gotten through so far) that you seemingly have no way to get to. Like is it that I have to wait till I get a new item every time and backtrack to them? I don't really mind that, just sick of trying to figure out how to get them because I'm a bit OCD about collecting everything in games.
The key is alil passed the fire statues, on tht mini map thr is a chest jus throw a bomb where you see the chest on the mini map! An youll have get the key
Im stuck and i need help getting out..... I have no bombs to commit suicide and i dont want to start the game all over again -_-
Stuck now... Says i need honey but I k where to get honey ive check the shops.... Also this island i cant do anything...
Yeah I've had some success with the bombs getting through walls, but alas not this time. But then where do I get the key from for that door to Humming Hill? Has it got something to do with that man in the cave by himself wanting those red stones?
#36 in top grossing for u.s store... It would be great to see a premium game up there passing the freemium garbage
I blew up the crate that was entangled in the vines by accident was that the crate? Because it blew up...
