I'm struggling with the block puzzle on the Southwind Isle. Anyone got a hint? No solution please. I just can't understand my goal...
Awesome game!!! Congrats! A few initial thoughts: 1) universal app = great but no iCloud = BAD --- please strongly consider iCloud support since it is frustrating to decide which system to play on the iPhone or the iPad! As a universal app the beauty if a person owns both devices would be to be able to play on whichever device is most convenient etc.. 2) save game... I believe another gamer mentioned needing to be able to save anytime! I agree. Unlike console games, iPhone & iPad allows for the ultimate flexibility meaning we may play 5-10 mins at a time compared to the ps3, ps4 etc... More often on consoles we have a bit more time to play and flexible save option on games such as this would be great! 3) I haven't gotten far yet but from posts it seems having our log provide more saved infirmation would be beneficial. Sometimes mobile gamers play games for a few days and stop and come back but without information saved in logs we may forget what we did and having history in the data would be helpful.
Im kinda stuck this guy used to have a key but we died on the same time what now? http://i44.tinypic.com/1ow0eb.jpg
Spoiler another way to kill him is to use the spell to drop a couple rocks on the tentacles so you don't have to get near him. When you are on the last tentacle try to stay in a corner and get your bow ready. Hit him in the open mouth then run back to the corner and shoot 3-4 more times
Does the game have better than basic rpg mechanics? Can weapons/armor be upgraded? Can weapons/armor be imbued with items which then gives ability to proc(I.e.-copper hammer of striking, hammer has ability to summon lightning bolts which act as small nukes)? Is your character able to add stats to strength, dexterity upon leveling up?
Last time I levelled up (voyager) I'm sure a message popped up saying that I now have the ability to Spoiler jump and roll. How do you perform a jump or roll?
Ww. I have to carry the honey, because walking isn't slow enough.... I threw it 2 times away in a hole accidentally
Zelda was a long, long time ago for me (SNES) but was it this tedious? Half the time I have spent in this game seems to be wandering aimlessly, trying to fruitlessly access inaccesable paths, dropping bombs every where in the hopes ofunlocking that secret i just can't get to, push this block, fall down run around a few mins, push that block, nope reset puzzle, wash rinse repeat.... Don't get me wrong I am enjoying myself but theres been a couple instances where I'm just getting BORED...
I had some of that - not necessarily with ALttP, but with Link's Awakening. I've also had it happen with other RPG's ...
What's funny is that the earlier Zelda games I did a lot of that and at times got a bit bored (but the good parts of the game always made up for it). But, so far, in this game I have yet to get that feeling. I've been enjoying this even more than I expected. I liked Death Rally but was unsure how the same devs would do with a game if this magnitude. And the more I play, the more I'm loving it.
You were younger, probably entertained easier and less critic about the flaws of the game. You are finding tedious because you can't find the solution fast enough. Nowadays people don't have the patience to do something, it's do as fast as possible to go to the next point. If you find tedious maybe you should stop for a bit and think about it. What you've described as tedious is exactly the experience with Zelda games (the old ones, TP and beyond they hold your hand too much to have to think)
LttP holds the player's hand more than this does and since that didn't constantly throw multiple elevations in as a factor in how you navigate an island, this is more difficult to find your way in.
The difference is in level design, however. Zelda games have excellent level design, while this game is subpar compared. It's just not interesting to navigate, I find.
You don't know how good it feels to see this game topping the charts. I really hope this send a message to big names out there, that there is money to be made with premium titles. I've been using the App Store since day one for basically all of my gaming and it's great to see how far it's come. With hardware getting more and more powerful, it's only a matter of time where we see $29.99 full blown console games. I can't wait.
