Hi folks! Our new game Numberama made from old pen and paper puzzle called “Digits” that was very popular in russian schools and universities in our childhood. The objective is to cross out neighbouring (vertically or continiously) pairs of digits to completely empty the game board. You can cross out the same numbers or the ones that give a total of 10. (You can check full rules here). It was a great time killer - you can spend all lessons trying to solve this puzzle. And it’s very hard to stop play, cause you feel that solution is on horizon. Here how it usually looks. Let’s remember your school or college days. What was your favorite pen and paper game you have played with your friends or alone? First 50 people who will tell a little story (with rules if game is not popular) will get a promo code for Numberama in private message.
A couple favorites: -Write on your homework so the teacher can't hear you talking and show your friend without them looking -Tic-tac-toe, a classic, i occasionally tried 4x4 and 5x5 (5x5 is a trick where if you start you no matter what win.) -The dots game, where there's a lot of Dots (in a grid like form) and you connect them. Every time you make a square, you initial it, then count your squares at the end. -The code game. Create your own code and get someone to figure it out! Btw your game looks awesome, hope i can try it out!
Thank you! Promocode is in your PMs! Could you tell more about dots game? Never heard something like this. Photo will be perfect, but it's ok to explain in more detail by words.
Where I live it's semi-common (meaning a good amount of people know what it is, but not all play it much/at all). Basically, for example, you have a row of dots, 10 across, by 10 down (100 in all, this isn't a requirement though, it just has to be a square or a rectangle). Players take turns drawing a line between the dots. When a person draws the fourth line to create a square, they initial inside the square. This goes on for the whole game until all the lines are filled in. It's now counted to see which person has the most squares...
Oh, I see! Super game, we played it in diamond shape field (like pixel diamond). By the way, where are you from? It's interesting, never thought that this game is international.
I too played Dots all the time! It was also a game I played with my kids while waiting in restaurants. The Dots variant we called Sprouts. Of course Tic tac Toe. Does Hangman count?
Hey I'm from Russia / Ukraine and never heard of this game... Is that just because I'm too young and missed it?
Sure Hagman counts! One of the most dramatic game It's funny, we called Dots the game like Go, it looks like this: Promo code is yours!
I actually played Battleships with real pen and paper (gasp!) in class and pokemon (with little round cardboard cards) in breaks. Yeah, this was when I was... nine?
Battleships (Sea battle) is one of the best pen and paper game in the world! Thanks! Get your promo code in PM.
Me and my friends used to play game where we would place some drawing like cannon or tanks on each side of a paper then use pen by letting it to drop vertically with angles on the paper so it draw a line (we assume it as line of fire). Whoever managed to hit every cannons or tanks of the otherside faster is winner
hey, what about domineering? the game is played on a matrix of dots. the players take turns in linking a pair of adjacent dots. The first player, Blue, always makes a vertical link, and the other player, Red, always makes a horizontal link. No dot can be linked more than once. the first player unable to move loses. Gimme my code
