Ayy lmao, I've been playing this for a while (helped with the translation) and it's really good, really challenging but great nonetheless.
Has anyone seen an available walkthrough, yet? I'm stuck at the podium code in the church and can't seem to get any further!#
I left the game (but didn't close it or pause) to send the above message and when I went back it automatically brought me to the beginning and won't let me continue...only "start new game"! So frustrated as it took forever to get as far as I did#. This game is really awesome, but this glitch may have ruined it for me! Any one else have this problem?
I haven't encountered this problem yet and, if you give it another go, I can help you with the podium puzzle.
Ive left the game open in the background for extended periods of time and haven't encountered that. It might be a memory issue? Spoiler Once you've opened the podium the church door should also be open. Maybe take a look around the village a bit more... Spoiler If you look behind the building in the back left corner of the village there should be some graffiti with a year on it. That year translates to the podium code Spoiler If you read the note at the back of the church you should be able to work out what symbol corresponds to what number...
Whew, just finished the game! It was a lot of fun and the last puzzle was very clever. It's by no means a short game, similar length to Indigo Lake. It's not a scary game, just has a generally creepy tone. The only parts that might get you is when you get surprised by the monster if you're not expecting it to be nearby, and the right door ending is quite scary. The game itself is more about a sense of claustrophobia and isolation. Highly recommended to any fans of first person exploration. It lulls in the middle a bit but the first and last segments are great!
Am I the only one totally stuck on the first puzzle? Have been in the house, read the two Notes, can move the clock hands... But that's it. Looking like I might have to give up and call it a day soon #
Hints for everyone: Starting off: Spoiler There's another building that you might be able to access in an unconventional way. Spoiler At the back of the village there's a building with a lot of slats on the side, but they're too high to reach by yourself... Spoiler You should be able to find three crates around the town and in the accessible building. One is in the town square, and two in the unlocked building. Stack these so you can reach the slats on the building. Church code, translating the year into symbols: Spoiler The symbols all correspond to a number. The church gives you two of these. Did you notice how many taps it takes to get to those? Spoiler One tap = 1, 2 taps = 2, 3 taps = 3 etc
Spoiler I am in manor, open box with code 953 but what next?I need to find something to put in that box...
I beat this game in one sitting last night and really enjoyed the experience. It took me approximately 3 hours. Loved the story and the ending/s. Loved the atmosphere and locations. Some of the controls were tough to get used to but overal manageable. I would have kept the controls in one spot instead of moving around all the time, got annoying. Also picking up some items and placing items takes some extra care the item might drop or go where it's not supposed to. Still an awesome game I'd give it 4.5/5. Tip if you're stuck, look EVERYWHERE
I saved the game and exited then went back a few hours later to find I couldn't continue, only start a new game, so I've lost all my progress (admittedly not very much progress ☺️) Am now reluctant to start again in case I get further into it and lose lots of progress.
To the people with the bug, how much memory is free on your device? I had a save issue at one point but clearing a few gigs fixed it up and I didn't have any issues on that playthroughs saves.
Wow, thanks for playing! I will try to improve the controls for the next version. Thanks for reporting the issue. It is weird, during the testing I didn't find that bug, It looks like a memory problem, I'll try to reproduce the error to fix it in the next update, sorry for the inconvenience :/ Meanwhile, as TheGreatEscaper says, try closing all background applications, that should fix the problem.
Thank u for this and your previous response with the hints! At the time I had 1.5 gigs available...cleared some space to give me 2.5 available gigs. When I get the time to start over I'll see if this works. I hope the dev figures this out quickly as this is a big detriment to a long and involved game.
The game's has a cool atmosphere and the dev seems very dedicated and it's great he's so active in the forums. But I'm sorry, I just can't bear the controls. The character movement is pretty akward and the buttons aren't overly responsive. I'm usually more patient with such things but carrying things is also such a chore. Boxes fall out of your hands when your char barely touches/bumps against anything in the way OR if you just look up too high. Spoiler Trying to stack boxes (don't know if this would count as spoiler but I tagged it just to be sure) on a rather small space was too much then. I just couldn't bring it to work. The smallest bump and they fell down again. Slightly looking a little bit too much to the right while holding a box and it fell down somewhere again. Just lost my patience, such a basic thing shouldn't be such a pita. Real shame too, otherwise the game makes a great impression, great atmo, no iAPs etc and I hope the controls get tweaked/fixed with a future update as the dev said. Looking forward to give the game another try then.
