Here's a little info. You learn everything in the tutorial. It's not chess *wink *wink but your pieces and moves are the same as that in chess. If you eat a piece. you turn into that piece, so you have to look at everything closely as most pieces are decoys and you have a limited number of moves to eat a coin which takes you to the next level. It's a neat puzzle game for sure. I am pretty good at chess so I skipped to the hard mode right away crevasse likes this. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #5 macplash, Dec 9, 2020 I'm still on the fence here. I love chess even though I'm far from being particularly good at it. But the description says this game's not a chess. Also, and the main reason I didn't instantly purchase it yet is the "no chess knowledge required" text in the trailer. I, on the contrary, would like to put my chess knowledge to the use here. Last but not least, there are already some reviews on the App Store about the puzzles being too easy. I was hoping for something that would pull my attention from Zach Gage's Really Bad Chess for a while. I'm just currently too chess obsessed after watching the Queen's Gambit on Netflix. On the other hand I'm a fan of puzzle games in general. So, it's hard to decide as I don't wanna be disappointed by the lack of chess in this game. Oh, I just don't know... crevasse Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Apr 14, 2018 166 64 28 Male Indie Game Developer Transylvania https://games.crevasse.co #6 crevasse, Dec 9, 2020 If you're very into chess then it's maybe not a good pick as you'll may find the puzzles too easy. Thanks for the feedback everyone! Working on more levels as we speak! My plan is to add 20 more by the end of this month. solarnya likes this. macplash Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2014 2,645 1,103 113 Male 3D artist Munich, Germany #7 macplash, Dec 9, 2020 On the other hand, I guess it’s more about supporting an exemplar indie game developer that is active here on the forums and stays in touch with its audience. Feels like a right thing to do. And who knows - I might take a different approach and go in with an expectation of a puzzle game only very lightly related to chess. That might work, right? crevasse likes this.
